AIBU to think of course all the anti-trans posts on this website and others are leading to real life harm?

Just seen a video of a trans woman minding her business in a train station getting horribly bullied by some Tommy Robinson wanna-be and couldn't help but think back to all the aggressive threads I've seen on Mumsnet.

Pages and pages of vilifying innocent trans people, calling them perverts and all sorts with zero evidence of anything of the sort of course would lead to people like this harassing and attacking trans people in public. I've see a few of so-called GC brigade say 'this isn't what we wanted' but it is the end, isn't it? If you do see trans people as disgusting abusive perverts trying to sneak into your changing rooms and hurt your daughter, you'd want them to be bashed in public yeah?

Am I wrong to think their chickens are coming home to roost and certain posters will want to claim they never had a hand in it all?

Careful you’ll be accused of “hate speech” for posting a report to a case which could never have happened.

I think it's 'hate speech' if women talk about male violence.

I've heard this tune before.

'I have seen posts that have said trans people are all pedophiles and the gender ideology is a conspiracy to make sex between adults and children legal. I have seen posts mocking and celebrating when a trans child is murdered with comments that most certainly would have caused harm. I have seen posts that have called for mass detention and imprisonment in camps of trans people'

These wild and offensive claims. No one on mn has said any of this. If they did it would be a TRA trolling and they'd be deleted.

They happened. You can ask MNHQ if you like. They deleted entire threads because of these things. You can write it up to a TRA trolling, or you can think about other possible bad actors that have visited MN.

I’ve seen many, many posts saying all parents of trans children are child abusers. Posts completely denigrating and accusing all trans people of being predators have become the norm.

I’ll just leave this here. 14yr old girl raped in a public toilet by a transgender policeman

www.dailymail.com/news/article-16132895/German-transgender-policewoman-rapes-14-year-old-girl-stash-child-porn.html

Why have you posted that?

I see trans identifying men that try to use women’s single sex spaces, sports, jobs etc disgusting abusive perverts (see the Giggle v Tickle case - that man is utterly vile!), but the vast majority of trans identifying men respect women and would never dream of doing so. They just want to go about their day in peace, and should be allowed to do so.

How do you know which individual men (however they ‘identify’) will be a danger to women?

From prison statistics in England and Wales, I think convictions for sexual crimes are higher in men who ‘identify’ as being women than for other male cohorts.

‘Let us never doubt what nobody is sure about’. I wouldn’t be making declarations because I feel something in my water.

It’s public knowledge that mumsnet has had problems with hate speech.
I am not some random making a spurious claim.
It’s even in published scientific studies and numerous books.

Or you can go to other parts of MN where mumsnetters openly discuss the hate speech they have come across on here.

But anyway take the book recommendation or leave it.

It's 'public knowledge' among men on Reddit and Bluesky.

Some men don't like it when women have opinions, particularly opinions which go against theirs. They absolutely hate it when women say 'no'. And they will respond with typical male aggression and abuse when they see such opinions.

Men attempting to silence women by accusing them of being crazy/mental/hysterical/hateful is a misogyny-tale as old as time.

The fact that all you have to 'prove' these claims of concentration camps and laughing at murdered children and whatever else appalling nonsense is 'it's public knowledge' is proof that it didn't happen. If it had, it would've been screenshot to bollocks and back and shared all over Reddit and Bluesky and wherever else misogynists in make-up gather. It would have been the gotcha of all time. I've seen not one example and I'm pretty active on BS etc. Not a single whiff.

I have, however, seen plenty of posts calling for TERFs to be gassed/hanged/raped and will gladly provide screenshots if you need to see them.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 15/09/2026 17:37

“Trans women” are men. Men commit 98% of sex crime and most other violent crime. It is neither safe nor respectful of women and girls for men to access women only spaces, and if you support that you (general you) are a misogynist. It doesn’t matter if you are female. You are propping up abusive men as a percentage of men and enabling them to abuse women and girls. So really, nothing to be smug about.

I’ve already provided links, as have others. Ignored in favour of making fantastical claims about women here, obviously.

Well we'll have to agree to disagree on what you've allegedly seen by trolls. Bad actors do indeed visit mumsnt. They are TRAs, MRAs and incels usually. Regular posters don't post hate. I think you know that, have little to offer the debate and are trying to discredit the many posters who are being patient with you and the op.

I'll ask again sorry you may have answered, why do you think men should be allowed access to women only spaces?

Hoardasurass · 15/09/2026 17:44

AmberTigerEyes · 15/09/2026 16:40

No, I do not believe women wanting their legal rights upheld is far right.
I still suggest reading the book as it shows how some women have been manipulated into giving up women’s rights by the far right while being manipulated into thinking they are fighting for women’s rights.

Hmm but what about the women on the left and far left who have not only sacrificed all of women's rights but even the words we need to describe ourselves as a sex class separate from all males?
Do you think that they've been manipulated aswell or is it only those who want to retain womens rights who have been manipulated?

You mean Redditer TRAs posted them, and screen shot them to 'prove' how 'hate speechey' MN is?

Well, why didn't you say that? You know anyone on the planet can sign up and post anything they want, right?

It isnt a membership club.

'I have, however, seen plenty of posts calling for TERFs to be gassed/hanged/raped and will gladly provide screenshots if you need to see them'

Yep. Trans and their allies want to kill us. We just want men out of women's toilets yet we're the ones full of hate Confused

Ereshkigalangcleg · 15/09/2026 17:47

I think many male trans rights activists are misogynistic bullies, and sadly a lot of the women who prop them up fall into that category too and have the same types of personality issues. They’re basically flying monkeys, they don’t have much power or status themselves. They just attack others.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 15/09/2026 17:50

MintGr33n · 15/09/2026 17:36

Because it’s relevant to whether it’s reasonable for women to object to men being in female spaces, isn’t it?

How? All trans people aren’t predators and women’s spaces isn’t what this thread is about.

How? All trans people aren’t predators and women’s spaces isn’t what this thread is about.

But some men are predators, regardless of gender identity. The thread is about how the “discourse” is conducted. One thing we do on the feminist board of mumsnet is document incidents where women and girls are harmed by “trans rights”. The airy claims of hate speech are vague and not backed up. People are allowed to bring evidence of why it’s not safe to share female only spaces with men.

Dropping that link in is manipulative, nasty and inflammatory. The poster knows what they’re doing.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 15/09/2026 17:57

I disagree, but obviously it’s much harder to make the point that gender critical women should be listened to about our safety and dignity if we aren’t allowed to post any evidence.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 15/09/2026 17:58

If you don’t want evidence to be posted, stop trying to gaslight us that a group of men aren’t a threat to women.

It isn’t evidence. It’s one extreme case. There have been several stories in the media recently re female teachers being prosecuted for seducing male and female pupils. Does that make all female teachers predators?

backformoreofthesame · 15/09/2026 18:02

So because not all transgender males are harming women we must ignore the fact that as a group they behave as badly as men in general? And treat them as women even when they act like men ?

sorry - the logic there escapes me . Perhaps it could be explained more slowly ?

What they are saying is that enabling the transition of children is a form of abuse. It’s a valid opinion.

It is evidence, not in isolation but it is a piece of evidence. If you want to make your case, go ahead. I’m sure some will agree.
