Why hasn’t Michael Jackson been cancelled??

I was just about to mention this. It’s often overlooked and I’m not sure how supporters explain it.

In his bedroom he had multiple books of photographs which were of naked young boys. One was put together by a convicted paedophile.

I don’t buy the innocent man child. How did he come across such books? You have to seek them out to get them.

Also look at how he acquired the rights to the Beatles back catalog. That was a wise business decision but on the other hand it ruined his friendship with Paul McCartney. Those don’t seem the actions of some wide eye innocent child.

The honest reason is because his music is still very, very popular. People hide behind ‘not convicted’ ( because of huge, life changing pay off), but the real reason is because people really like his music.

People are essentially self interested.

OMG not this again. Anyone who can’t see that he was guilty - grow up and stop being hateful to victims. And stop trying to make excuses for a man who clearly was a pedophile.

Exactly, thank you. In fact, in the beginning some people did defend Savile. But he was an ugly, nasty man with psychopath eyes. Not an incredibly talented entertainer.

The "victims" would have been a lot more believable if they told the truth in the first place (Robson and Safechuck),and didn't go out for a huge paycheck. Once money is involved,I'm sorry but nope,you lose all credibility in your case.

MJ slept in the same bed with young boys, organized lots of time alone with young boys, and spent millions on an amusement park to attract young boys. And yet we are expected to believe this is all innocent behaviour of an innocent minded man. And all the victims are liars. 🙄

There's actually something quite creepy about the resurgence of Michael Jackson fandom, kids who were born after he died are suddenly obsessed, TikTok shop is selling MJ dolls and pyjamas etc.

I find it sinister.

MJ was not especially talented - he wrote unsophisticated formulaic ditties peppered with squeaks and weird crotch-wiggling.

The trite lyrics now read as coded confessions hidden in plain sight.

You can't compare MJ and Saville. Ignoring the inwuiries and trial results, it's also because the latter was basically just UK. I don't even actually know what paat prrsenter he was as I am not from UK originally. MJ's is music on the other hand is considered legendary worldwide.

I was watching some old TOTP episodes on YT and Jimmy Saville kept popping up 🤮 He was behaving so oddly, the creep factor was evident for anyone to see.

MJ still being idolised is a more complex one I guess. No one in normal life would be ok with a grown man having children as friends and sleepover ‘buddies’, it simply doesn’t make sense (even if it was all just ‘innocent’). There was such a blurred line between MJ being a grown man but presenting as a Peter Pan character, who never really grew up due to his abusive childhood, that people saw him more like a child than an adult man.

I can appreciate his talent while also seeing that something wasn’t right with him, and I wouldn’t have let my kids anywhere near him.

They tried to sell fake recordings of Michael didn't they? And wrote a book saying how wonderful he was,then once again,big fat paycheck and they changed their story 🤦🙄

I agree with you op. I do still like his music but feel guilty for liking it if that makes sense. There were too many allegations and he behaved very oddly holding hands with so many young boys and admitting sleeping in beds with them. Hiding in plain sight.
