As usual these posts just call to the people who are apparently being called racist every time they leave their home and who like to harp on the ‘you can’t say anything anymore’ theme. They are having a frankly extraordinary experience of life.

Yeah it’s a bit like the misogynists who rush out to say that one woman making false claims about rape or sexual harassment allegations is why others don’t get believed.

When I was younger I was called a racist by rejecting a man of another race 😂 I didn’t give it another thought nor did I change how I felt about racism.

My (white Welsh) childhood best friend was called racist by a (white) Greek man once for something absurd. We were baffled but just laughed it off and yes she still took actual racism seriously.

And yeah I must say it’s remarkable how some people are always being called racist left right and centre, but definitely aren’t actually and even have brown friends lol

A Deliveroo rider called me a racist a few years ago when I asked him to move his bike, after he parked his moped literally leaning up against my car on the hash lines next to the disabled space we were in meaning I couldn’t get the door open to lift my disabled DC back in the car.

I took great pleasure in merrily swinging the car door open with a cheerful “oopsie!” as his bike went over….

I'm not sure why you challenged him for NOT stopping her when she was obviously going to have to stop on her own since there was nowhere for her to park. You're never going to know why, specifically, he called you racist since you didn't ask him, so I guess stop worrying about it if you don't think it was an accurate assessment.

She hasn't made the post about 'being called a silly cow' over a trivial parking incidence - it's specific to race. If you've not experienced racism before, you won't know what might trigger someone to call other people racist (rightly or wrongly).

Nobody uses racism for no reason. If he said you were racist then you obviously commited some sort of microagrression that you weren't consciously aware of. My advice would be to have a bit of introspection and ask yourself what you would do next time in order to not make someone feel like they are being racially attacked over a normal disagreement.
