They are utter cowards and hypocritical. The same ilk will state they're against the burkha and protests by environmental groups etc. but are happy to mask their faces in 'protest' the reality is they're just nasty specimens of humanity, full of people with self righteous white supremacy tendencies. AIBU.

Immigrant men have an offending rate similar to British men - in fact somewhat lower.
We would not be supporting them for years if we changed the rules so that they could work as in many other countries. It makes no sense to prevent them working when we have jobs which can't be filled. ( See the Government list of jobs that need filling.)
With the crisis situation we face with a birth rate of 1.39 children per woman, when we need 2.1 children per woman if we are not to have a crisis of underpopulation.
We desperately need people to come here to work so that our elderly can retire at a reasonable age. We can't keep raising the retirement age so that the poorest and those who have been working in unskilled manual labour jobs eg have fewer and fewer years of retirement. Unskilled male life expectancy 71-73, professionals 79-80. How is that right?
( NB Some countries eg China eg allow most women to retire at 55. only the managers retire at 60. Still much younger than we retire!)

And if you believe your first statement is actually true you have not looked at sexual offences in any detail

What or where is the French equivalent of the RNLI? Why do illegal migrants on boats sometimes only a few metres from the French coast have to be rescued by our services?

WouldYouLikeAnyToast · Yesterday 22:53

Accordingly their towns and cities are much safer for women and girls.

Including women and girls who are black/brown?

I don't know if France has an equivalent of the RLNI, but I'm so grateful that we do have it.
The fact they help anyone who's in trouble at sea and don't pick or choose who is worthy of saving (do you really want to go down that road?!) is a good thing imo.

Well to prevent a conflict of laws. If we want to stay in the ECHR we have to abide by its requirements. If we want to diverge from the ECHR, which many do in order to control illegal immigration, we need to leave it. We can keep the bits of the Human Rights Act (which brings the ECHR into domestic law ) that we like and lose the rest.

International law is an illusion in that it isn't really "law" in that it is directly enforceable in UK courts without Uk legislation. (EU law by contrast did have that direct effect). Its just a convention and countries chose to follow it or not. You cant force another country to follow International law unless you are stronger than it either economically or militarily. So gor example no country currently can force the US to follow any International law. No.military is stronger and its economy could probably withstand sanctions.

I think it’s illusory to suggest we need to leave the ECHR to diverge from it on immigration. There are many examples where UK govts have done so - article 8 restrictions for foreign offenders, and out of country appeals - and quite a lot of room to make changes - including detention of asylum seekers awaiting decisions and third country arrangements - without leaving it.

Its not an extremely difficult problem at all.

Countries in eastern europe - poland, hungary etc - manage very well at keeping these chaps out. Accordingly their towns and cities are much safer for women and girls.

Stop giving them free money, phones, accomodation etc and they will stop coming.

Or see how Australia stopped its problems with boat people - by ramming their boats back into neutral waters, repeatedly, until they get the message that they are not wanted. Or if they managed to land in Oz, forcibly putting them on a boat straight back.

Edit - we could keep out nazi germany, but we cant keep out a bunch of illiterate tribesmen from the 3rd world? Difficult problem? Dont make me laugh!

Edited

Depends what you mean by safe. Hungarian women might be ‘safe’ from migrant men, but they are significantly more likely to be victims a of intimate partner violence compared to the European average. About 40% of women report having experienced physical or sexual violence or threats from a partner versus about 18% across the EU.

Much lower in Poland, about 12%, but still higher than 9% in the UK.

There are cling ons taking advantage of human rights laws. That's why it needs to go.

Can you give an example of a case that would have gone differently had the UK not been part of the ECHR?

It’s the black shirts all over again and anyone who can’t see that needs to read up on the conditions that led to WW2. Horrific.

I don't think that at all. I think our government are utterly spineless and treacherous, and people are rightly looking at Ceuta in horror and have decided that ordinary citizens have to take a stand, or this will never end until our country is similarly overrun.

“Let the people do it”. What? Summary justice for anyone any random balaclaved thug doesn’t like the look of? That’s not the way we do things here in Britain. If you don’t like living with our laws then leave. I’ve heard St Petersburg is nice this time of year.

But that's the problem, the "laws" in Britain don't seem to apply to everyone?? I know first hand that certain "minority groups" are treated differently and was told so by the police officer dealing with the "problem". Yes we have laws but unfortunately the government decides who they do and do not apply to. Saying "if you don't like our laws leave" is a joke now, because the laws are not working.

Exactly.

Years of intimidating masked Palestine protests and nothing.

One masked protest by British men (with zero arrests or incidents) and there is uproar.

Fly a Palestine flag, a gay flag. A Pakistan flag. Absolutely fine.

A St George?! Noooo cant do that!

I personally didn’t think of the KKK

but I think it’s very concerning that across Europe we are seeing people taking matters into their own hands and governments increasingly struggling with the issues of immigration and not working together
