Why are you underlining the section about no changes having been made to the law?

The changes to the law are not relevant to this case, which relates to a donation from a non-UK citizen. That is already impermissible under current rules.

You're welcome. The documentary showed Reform trying to engineer things so that donations from abroad (impermissible) were passed off as being from someone in the UK (permissable) by a UK person acting as middle man for the foreign donor.
This is pretty serious for our democracy, because whatever colour our politics, we can probably all agree that we don't want our representatives bought by foreign influences.

Yes, it did. That is why the Telegraph (and possibly the Times) pulled their articles and analysis based on the JLP poll that the "donor" paid for.

After all this, if the British public are daft enough to let that scumbag traitor anywhere near number 10, then frankly we deserve every bit of misery they will inevitably inflict on us all.

I don't think Reform voters will give a shit about the latest news. Their hatred of anything "foreign" will usurp it. But maybe, just maybe, it will galvanise everybody else to tactically vote against them.

You’re right - I don’t know what Nigel Farage knows or assumes. The impression I get - that was compounded by the footage of him swilling oysters and champagne while laughing with people as they set about breaking our democratic laws - is of a very wealthy, privileged man exploiting people’s fears (and in some cases prejudices) for his own financial and political gain.

Maybe I’m wrong. But I think enough people have the same impression for it to be very, very difficult for him to become Prime Minister now.

The poster never mentioned Farage, they just said Reform voters will not condemn anything the party does. Imo that's because they allow them to indulge their hatred of a very specific demographic.
