We can't. Hard core Reform supporters typically hate 'the left' with a passion. They think that left wing parties and their supporters are in cohoots to let in loads more immigrants, trash the economy (whatever they believe that means) and introduce all sorts of middle class wokery that wastes money they could be getting. They believe they are the victims of snobbery, looked down on as stupid, and see any attempts to 'show them' anything as examples of this.
Those who have soft support for Reform may be disauaded by what they've seen. But the die hards will dig in or turn to Restore.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Reform is not a genuine political party. It's a money-making exercise for Farage and his cronies, dressed up as a political party.

There will never be a PM Nigel Farage. He doesn't want the job. He'd be too restricted and under too much scrutiny. If the moment ever comes where it looks like Reform are in with a real chance of winning an imminent general election, you just watch him step down "to pursue other interests" or "to avoid distractions from our worthy cause".

Farage will never be in that position. Even at their peak when they hoovered protest votes, there was never enough people who wanted him in the role. Even paying for fake opinion polls didn't show them having a realistic chance of forming a majority government.
Its all been a lot of noise, smoke and mirrors to push mainstream politics further right at the direction of their pay masters, under threat of a Reform government, which was never a realistic prospect.

I agree that up until this point their support has been noisy but shallow and not entrenched enough to actually force them first past the post in a general election. But politics is a strange beast - never say never!

I condemn all rapists, whether they happen to be asylum seekers or not. There is nothing remotely racist about condemning someone for a crime that they have committed, regardless of their ethnicity, nationality or immigration status. And I don't know any "lefties" that would disagree with this.

What many of us do disagree with are the racist attempts to conflate "asylum seekers" with "rapists" as if they are one and the same thing.
