I'm amazed that someone would be so eager to defend Reform without an understanding of the basic facts of the allegations against them, such as the difference between permissible and impermissible donations. I'm not sure how you can begin to defend anyone if you don't really understand what it is that they are supposed to have done wrong.

Have we got to "they've banned Christmas/Easter/morris dancing" yet. Because I struggle to understand which aspects of British culture have been smothered. Apart from dead boring 1960s Sundays and I was happy to see the back of those and it had nothing to do with immigration anyway.

It was posted in respinse to you saying you weren’t aware of a police investigation relating to the George Cottrell donations. Which were two months oat. So not ‘out of date’ at all. You’ve been given a link saying the Electoral Commission have referred the polling donation to the Met.

The reaction of Reform and their devotees always reminds me of the Family Guy episode where Lois discovers that just mentioning 9/11 gets her lots of cheers.

And the similarities to the donations "from" Fiona Cottrell are striking.

On threads about the Cottrells (mother and son) and about Harborne's secret £5 million, we've been speculating that the Cottrell and Harborne donations may be the tip of the iceberg.

Because if this is how Reform roll, it would be extraordinary if the dodgy donations where they got found out also happened to be the only dodgy donations which occurred.

All the other parties have been clear that the 'if you don't be more like Reform, then we'll vote for Reform' threat isn't going to wash. There are not enough voters who believe that Reform are the best hope to achieve even these things to give them a majority. If you want to vote Reform then that's your right, but as a threat its toothless now and as their support doesn't translate to seats, it's probably a wasted vote.

It isn't out of date. You are just getting confused.

I stated in my post that the donations from George/Fiona Cottrell were already being investigated by the police. You asked for evidence of that investigation, which I provided.

We have already established that the police are currently assessing the information that they have received in relation to the Channel 4 documentary, but they have not yet commenced an investigation. Hardly surprising, given that the documentary only aired last night.

I observed that the evidence in the Channel 4 documentary of the intention to commit a crime seemed directly relevant to the criminal investigation that is already underway into the donations from George/Fiona Cottrell, and surmised that the evidence from the documentary might get rolled into that investigation or its scope might get broadened. But that will be a matter for the Met Police to decide when they have reviewed all of the relevant evidence.

You appear to have a reading comprehension problem. The investigation which I referred to in my earlier post was quite clearly the one relating to the Cottrell donations. You asked for a link and I gave it to you.
