Dh changes when a full moon

It's even daft if you ignore the data and start from the premise "well the phases of the moon affect the tides" - because the moon's impact on the tides is stronger on a new moon than it is on a full moon.

But, of course, you don't generally see the moon when it's a new moon, and it doesn't have the same degree of mythology attached to it, so it doesn't trigger people's confirmation bias the same way.

Nope! It's true. I was a nursing home manager for many years, caring for dementia sufferers, full moon was always when confusion and aggression ramped up.

I can "sense" when a thunderstorm is coming and when I was a child used to get bad headaches. That's different though because there is a very real change in air pressure plus the air is usually full of moisture so feels heavy and sticky. I think it's just responding to surrounding changes our bodies definitely are capable of picking up.
It's possible that the full moon also causes changes that people pick up and are affected by. It's just that there isn't any known physical mechanism by which that can happen and not enough data showing a change outside of anecdote. So it sits in the "possibly real possibly wooo" box for now.

Knowing a thunderstorm because you can pick up on the air pressure changes is coming is similar to knowing there is a full moon because you can see it in the sky. Maybe not that much actually because not everyone is as sensitive. But it's definitely a thing.

I work in a sen school. When High winds are coming or a full moon we as staff just know by the behaviour changes of pupils.

My family were convinced my Granddad was affected by the moon in exactly the way you have seen. I totally believe this was what happened with my Grandad as it was always obvious in his behavior and everyone commenting on it.

It took me years to realise my husband's change in behaviour was affected by the moon. When I did research it made sense about tidal movement and how the body, because of the water content, can also be affected. After 42 years I am convinced. I would love to dicuss this with a psychiatrist.

Emergency Services here too, crime and volatile behaviour absolutely is affected by the full moon, happens far too frequently to be a coincidence

Full moon + weekend = busier and more chaotic night in the pub, in my 10 years experience working full moons in pubs. More fights, more random stupid behaviour.

DH has always suffered from insomnia, but I have always maintained it is affected by the moon. However, his insomnia is worse when there is no moon at all.

Yup, and that the general public's knowledge of astronomy (even just as it relates to the moon, Earth and sun) is very limited.

Not intended as a reflection on anyone's intelligence - I'd rather be treated by hospital staff that don't understand the moon but do understand medicine than vice-versa!

I had an ex like yours, I noticed it was when there was a full moon. Great guy usually but moody and closed off at the full moon, very weird.

Because trying to measure aggressive, rowdy, violent individuals on the streets isn’t exactly easy to collate. It’s based on qualitative accounts of officers out there every day who experience it. It’s absolutely a thing.

The origin of the good ole fashioned word Lunatic would suggest a link to moon phases. Certainly when I worked in acute mental health the beds on the wards were always more in demand when there was a full moon.

I was about to say this, my DM is a midwife and has always said that the place goes haywire on a full moon!

As I said, this year so far the full moons have coincided with start/end of calendar months.

Well you probably don't know your own. The standard western zodiac we use is based on dividing the sky into 12 equal sections which don't actually fully align with the constellations for which they are named (the constellations aren't all the same size, the sun doesn't spend an equal amount of time in each one) and leaves out one constellation that is in fact in the zodiac line because otherwise there'd be 13 and it wouldn't align so nicely with the seasons. Libra also used to be in the same constellation as Scorpio until it was changed, I believe by the Romans... the constellations as we know them are only how humans have chosen to group the stars together. Keep the constellation of Ophiuchus, through which the sun does pass, and look at which actual constellation the sun is in at the time of your birth rather than which equal 1/12 section of sky and you'll very likely find that you got your sign wrong too.

Not to mention that this is only the solar zodiac and if you're insisting that people are ruled by the moon, you should surely be looking at their lunar zodiac... and again, are you using the standard western zodiac for that or are you looking at the actual constellations, all 13 of them?

Or are you using an Eastern zodiac like the Chinese one which is based on the year you were born using a lunar calendar and a different set of elements and seems to give a very very different set of predictions?
