Rickie and Melvin are being replaced by Jeremiah Asiamah (sp) Dean Mcculouch (sp) sacked and replaced with Milo and Rosie The influencer GK Barry given a show Other changes that dont affect me 😩 Why???!! Mylo and Rosie aren’t influencers. Mylo has been DJing since he was a kid and they held the West Yorkshire breakfast show for years until hits radio got rid of all the local radio shows (boo!). They have won awards for the best radio breakfast show so glad Radio one are taking a punt on them.

I struggle to listen to radio one, music not my taste and I can’t be doing with vernon or Sarah cox over on radio 2. I tried Jordan north and his crew but ugh they are so up their own it’s painful to listen to!! I now mainly listen to podcasts and Apple Music, sometimes kisstory but they play ‘bills’ by Destiny’s child on repeat…! That becomes tiresome!

Yes, I don’t mind these two, Mylo & Rosie, as I think it’s clear they have radio experience.

It’s the other non-radio / obvious SM influencers who are more grating.

I don't think young people listen to the radio. Mine don't. It's whatever the Spotify algorithm chucks at them. I know newer music than they do, it's not right.

I'd like a R1 music / R4 discussion mash up.

I still listen to R1 and I’m way out of their target audience range.
I am gutted Ricky & Melvin are leaving. They are my favourite two out of the trio.
I am thoroughly pissed off Charley Marlowe is joining. I have switched off when she’s been been covering (clearly doing test runs). She just does my head in.
Im pissed off Nat is leaving. I liked Nat & Vic.
I think Katie & Jerry would’ve been a better duo, over Charlie & Jerry.

I've never liked Matt edmonson since he released a board game called Karen and then doubled down on his misogyny when a woman called Karen questioned it. It massively put me off him and Molly, there's less and less of radio one I can actually tolerate!

And I don't want to see tiktokers or influencers on the radio. I enjoyed them as tiktokers but I never find they translate well to radio.

Same, its that the music is stuck from decades ago

The bbx need a rádio station for adults who like current pop music and new music, with age appropriate chat 🤷‍♀️

R1 died when Mista Jam left. Mark and Lard was my favourite in the 90s. I can't really stand listening to radio now but Fern Cotton does a good 90s throwback show on R2 on a Saturday that I sometimes listen to on BBC sounds.

Mark and Lard are (were) on radio 6 (separately though I think one was unwell and maybe isn’t on any more, but one of them definitely is). And Lauren Laverne. And sometimes Steve Lamacq. It’s like the good old days over there with a good mix of all types of (reasonably good) music.

i haven't listened to Radio 1 since Mark and Lard left the station. And even then that was the only thing I tuned in for. Even Radio 2 seems dumbed down and too young for me now.

Mark and Lard's 10.00 p.m. show was my most favourite ever radio show.
