As this is a developing story it’s worth continuing here

Well you shouldn’t be and your first post totally misrepresented what was said. It’s clear Zach has been brought it to state “oh I can’t side with the anti semites because I’m Jewish” the thing is that for the more educated this simply doesn’t work. History is littered with Jews who sided with Anti Semites

To illustrate my point look up

The Association of German National Jews
Stella Goldschlag
Rolf Isaacsohn

Look up Conversos and Jewish informants in the Spanish Inquisition and its interplay with the Jewish Expulsion from Spain in 1492.

So yes Zachs “oh I’m Jewish” needs some substance behind it rather than just being words

Agree. It wasn’t even simply 'Oh, I’m Jewish', but 'why are you erasing my Jewish identity', a blatantly debate-terminating move.

Again, just because someone is Jewish doesn’t mean that they have experience anti semitism and doesn’t mean they align themselves with being Jewish, nothing will ever cover all people in a group. How did your Jewish friends react to the terrorism against their community?

They found it awful - because it is, obviously.

A couple of my friends send their kids to Jewish schools and the dads take turns to guard the schools. It’s awful that they have to do this. Anti semitism is repugnant, all racism, religious discrimination and prejudice is, and unfortunately there are elements of it in pretty much every political party, that need to be rooted out. Just recently the tories had to sack someone for this.

None of this has changed their views that the Israeli government are genocidal and should be stopped and that everyone, everywhere should be allowed to express this.

All the Jewish people I’m referring to are practising Jews, at least culturally, if not religiously, and many are identifiably Jewish. So I’m not talking about people who have disassociated from their identity.

I agree with this. I think many of us are getting fed up of the media conflating speaking out about the Israeli government and their genocidal agenda with antisemitism, or being pro Islamic extremism.

I live in North London with a big Jewish community and my Jewish friends share the same views, several are more ‘left’ than me politically. There are a lot of Muslims in my community and friendship group too. The ordinary Jews and Muslims I know are friends and are fed up of being pitted against each other to serve this right wing political agenda.

Where exactly is the media conflating speaking out about the Israeli government with antisemitism?

He was on sky news. He openly asked Trevor Phillips why his Jewish identity was being erased and Trevor responded with a very aggressive “don’t try that one on me”, I was disgusted.

Who was trying to erase Polanski’s Jewish identity?
Trevor Phillips was talking about the pro-Palestine marches and how many Jews in London perceived them as hate marches. Polanski said he didn’t feel intimidated by these marches, to which Phillips replied: 'But you’re not all Jews', which is obviously true 🤷‍♀️

No Trevor Phillip is right to be angry at ZP's hypocrisy and slimy gaslighting. What ZP said was clear micro aggression, it's how an abuser in an abusive relationship behaves but with a racist element. DARVO.

I reckon the polls were positive about Polanski's anti semitic behaviour and now he is doubling down as elections next week. Anyone who celebrates such disgusting, dishonest and creepily manipulative and violent politics is responsible for what comes next in this country.

It's genuinely horrifying and repulsive. I'm glad he's getting called out.

I know. Hundreds of women reported being surrounded, harassed, and robbed by large groups of men, all in one night. If only they’d kept a safe distance 🙄

Yes. Victim blaming always happens

On a similar note, didn’t Polanski say he’d try to persuade Putin to give up nuclear weapons?

Maybe through the power of hypnosis 👀
Although that could have an unwanted side effect 😂

inamarina · 03/05/2026 12:51

Cathandkin · 03/05/2026 12:42

That's extraordinary. They should train the Met Officers on disarming violent criminals straight away! Leave the Waitrose shopping and the washing til later!

Absolutely! ‘Eine Armlänge Abstand' (one arm’s length distance) is still a running joke in Germany.

I wish I could laugh. How awful.

Cathandkin · 03/05/2026 12:38

That'll do it. That'll stop any man intent on sexual assault.

Fair point. I have to laugh at people on their sofas imagining that they could disarm someone intent on murder, better than officers trained in the methods by specialist officers 😂
Ludicrous.

'Don’t get close enough to get stabbed' reminds me of the advice Henriette Reker, the Mayor of Cologne gave women following the 2015/16 New Year’s Eve sexual assaults: 'To keep a certain distance (to the potential attackers) that is more than an arm’s length.'

That'll do it. That'll stop any man intent on sexual assault.

Don’t get close enough to get stabbed? They are Police officers not members of the public. Their job is to disarm and detain him in order to stop him from attacking anyone else. How exactly do you expect them to detain anyone without getting close enough to risk being stabbed? He’s hardly going to handcuff himself.

Oh, and what did the Iranian Ambassador to the UK do?
Call for "Martyrdom".
Iranian groups have already claimed responsibility for most of these racist acts noted upthread.

Guys... I know it's tempting, but don't give them what they want. By this point it's so transparent it's embarrassing, even the Poundshop tit whispering Riddler has accepted the reality after Mark Rowley publicly spanked him about it, so they're not even trying to show solidarity to that horrible party by this point. They're just endlessly flinging and reflinging every dead cat they can find to deflect and distract from the misogyny and antisemitism. Don't play into it any more, it makes them happy.

Gonna go enjoy my Sunday.

Nothing to see. No antisemitism, just false eh. The Green Party have a number of anti semitic people as candidates. People are starting to see that now.

Antisemitism leads to these type of attacks in the UK, its never acceptable:

"2 October, 2025: Two Jewish people were killed and three left in a serious condition after a car ramming and stabbing attack outside a synagogue in Manchester. One of the men was killed by a bullet fired by police.

23 March: Four Jewish charity-owned ambulances were set on fire in the car park of a synagogue in Golders Green

15 April: A brick and two bottles thought to contain petrol were thrown at the Finchley Reform Synagogue in north London

17 April: Suspicious items, later found to be non-hazardous, were found near the Israeli embassy in London. A video posted to social media claimed the embassy was going to be attacked by drones

18 April: A bottle containing a type of accelerant was thrown through the window of Kenton United Synagogue in north-west London

27 April: A suspected arson attack was carried out at a memorial wall in Golders Green. The wall contained tributes to people killed by the Iranian regime during anti-government protests earlier this year, as well as a section to those killed in the 2023 Hamas attack on Israel:

What about that plot by those men (supported by Iran) who imported automatic weapons and were planning the mass murder of Jews (and others) at a peaceful march in Manchester. It would have been one of the worst terrorist attacks ever.
Fortunately foiled in time.

ShockingBritain · 03/05/2026 11:11

Good questions.

What is it this non antisemites want to say but cannot. The Green Party already had 2 candidates arrested for hate speech, do they want to be allowed more hate speech?

A non zionist in power, why is this so important in the UK?

Does poster must think Jewish people are a threat, unless they say they are non zionist. Strange times.

They're judged. They can't just be Jews. Someone on another thread used the term "noble Jews", you're only acceptable if you toe the line.
Too add: their line

HoldingTheDoor · 03/05/2026 11:55

There are plenty of ways to de escalate a situation and keep people safe from a man who has just been tasered lying on the floor with a knife. Don’t get close enough to be stabbed would be one easy, non violent solution, There was no need to kick a mentally ill man in the head.

That people are seeking to justify it is terrifying for society as a whole.
