So the WHO report isn’t accurate? And BBC is a liar too eh.

Nothing in either contradict the other BBC article which states that Israel agreed to ceasefires to enable the vaccination programme to go ahead. You don’t seem to be making a point here.

COGAT (an Israel ministry of defence unit) tasked with overseeing and implementing civilian policy and coordinating humanitarian aid in Gaza and the West Bank, had been working with international agencies to co ordinate the campaign which requires two vaccine doses per child.
Just because you don’t like the truth nomas doesn’t mean it’s a lie.

Here you go @nomas as you appear to have missed this.

Quite clearly it has been shown that the information ypu are posting is not the complete picture.
But then you wouldn’t have posted it would you if it showed the complete picture of Israeli co operation through COGAT.

Just read he tried to disarm the attacker when he attacked the 70 year old at the bus stop.
Good for him, I hope his bravery will be rewarded.
Beautiful to see people from various different religions and nationalities working together and supporting each other.

Yes, you wonder having left Iran he had had his fill of violent oppression of people and this fed into his desire to help. I’m glad he was there and hope he gets recognition. I understand the Jewish ambulance service helped the terrorist too. Goes to show division isn’t inevitable and is mainly caused by people purposely

Stopping the killing temporarily is not ‘working with the WHO’ to get the kids vaccinated as @IsEveryUserNameBloodyTaken claims.

It’s to stop the spread of polio.

Did you not read my earlier post re COGAT, you seem desperate to avoid anything that doesn’t match your agenda.
COGAT worked with the aid agencies to co ordinate the double dose of the polio vaccinations to the children in Gaza.
Do let me know if you can’t find my post I will signpost if for you.

The ceasefire was to enable the vaccinations to take place of the children in Gaza, timing this meant the Israeli’s working with WHO to share information and establish time frames.

Yes the purpose of vaccinations inc polio is to stop the spread of disease! I would have thought that was obvious to all.

I fail to see what point you’re making

I'm a left wing police officer and I agree.

Those officers and the volunteer saved lives that day and should be given the George Cross. I'm a taser carrier and it's a lot harder than it looks, plus with adrenalin and fear, and the first few shots missing? They nailed it.

He refused multiple times to relinquish the knife. They have self defence just like any other member of the public.

In America he would have been shot.

Don't want to get kicked in the head? Put down the knife then.

Personally as the civilian I'd be stamping on his head, repeatedly. I'd love to put Dave in that position and say, right what do you do know?

Yes it just goes to show how decent people can be to each other, I do wonder if the first victim, the attackers Muslim friend was trying to stop him. After all the hatred and anti semitism poured out here as nd else where it’s great to see people of different faiths and backgrounds willing to stand u to help the Jewish community..

And yet that poster complained weeks ago I was following her and yet I simply responded if she didn’t post such howlers I wouldn’t even notice her.
Definitely malicious aims.
I do think it is important for all to see people with these motives, and to be called out. It kind of puts paid to the idea that there isn’t an antisemitism problem when people are so transparent with what they post.

He made a mistake and has apologised.
Rowley knows it was not long ago that the Met Police were rightly severely criticised for their dreadful handling of the aftermath of the Satah Everard case. I wonder if he is being opportunist because he knows the right wing media (otherwise known as the media) will row in behind him if he is criticising a left wing politician.

I am watching a clip of James O'Brien now. He is taking calls, largely from male callers with regional accents, many of whom have apparently served in the police. O'Brien is falling over himself to be sycophantic, and continually mentioning how he admires people who put themselves in harms way.

People are overjoyed when a left wing politician makes an error. It is an error, and a significant one. It will.not be the last, because he is human and not perfect.
When Nigel Farage and his far right rabble are destroying the NHS, reducing unemployment benefits to zero and doing the bidding of whatever appalling President America has chosen to speed the world to its end, you might just need someone a bit more radical than the milksops of the Labour Party to stand up to them.

It’s not the kind of mistake though (and I disagree that it was a mistake) that a leader of a party should make! It’s the kind of talk that can embolden anti semites, furthermore he is drill clinging to his position. He either can’t adequately lead the party or he’s ok with the amount of anti semitism in it.

ZP doubling down with his cringeworthy word salad about brave police needing to be scrutinised. Scrutiny is vital but retweeting inflammatory messages undermining those who save lives that day so soon after the stabbings is below the par. He's a weak man who's got nothing but cheap shots

Stopping the killing temporarily was to limit the spread of polio, which is highly contagious and had spread to neighbouring countries. Hence Israel vaccinating its own soldiers.

Israel had nothing to do with the roll out for Palestinian kids, it was all managed by the WHO and UN agencies and others.

COGAT (an Israel ministry of defence unit) tasked with overseeing and implementing civilian policy and coordinating humanitarian aid in Gaza and the West Bank, had been working with international agencies to co ordinate the campaign which requires two vaccine doses per child.

I don’t think that Israel being involved in a positive way fits the pp narrative.
But as you say it’s hard to know if this is ignorance, wilful blindness or disingenuousness.
Looking on the post started yesterday re the Met police and the supposed ignoring of a third victim in the antisemetic terror attack started by another poster, it is quite clear that this poster “has form” shall we say.

🤦🏻‍♀️

From https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c4gejxxk820o
'A series of “humanitarian pauses” to fighting in Gaza are due to begin on Sunday, to allow hundreds of thousands of children to be vaccinated against polio.'
So, in August 2024, to help WHO etc get Gazan children vaccinated, Israel stopped fighting and agreed to a ceasefire, even while Hamas still held Israelis captive in terrible conditions.

So, as I said upthread, Israel facilitated (that is, helped it to happen) the polio vaccination campaign.

Some posters seem to struggle with the meaning of 'facilitated' as well as the meaning of 'genocide'. It's hard to know if this is ignorance, wilful blindness or disingenuousness.
