Has anyone ever actually been turned on by a dick pic?

Genuinely curious if this has ever worked outside of very specific, pre-arranged circumstances. Like is there a secret success rate no one talks about, or is this just the digital equivalent of throwing spaghetti at a wall and hoping it flirts back?

I have never found a dick pic arousing, other than one occassion where the person made slightly more effort for the photo than just a POV shot of their nob. Solicited or unsolicited it just feels like im looking at a penis, and so what

It feels like we’re watching the longest-running group project where no one wants to admit it’s failing. I feel like women typically put a bit more effort into nudes??

Have you ever been turned on by a dick pic?

Idc if im being unreasonable dick pics are just not it

I think you need to read the conversation I was having with that poster because it wasn't about random unsolicited pics

I have just gone back and read it...your response to her was i think an OTT response to her description of penises in not flattering terms. Shetland nothing about not liking sex ..you made that jump.

CurlewKate · 20/07/2026 07:20

Such typical Mumsnet. “I don’t find dick pics sexy” “Have you never had a sexy conversation? Mumsnetters really hate sex!”

PersephoneParlormaid · 20/07/2026 07:19

Luckily I’ve only ever seen one, and it was posted on MN, I had to turn the picture round and round to work out what angle it was from. It was far from a turn on.

I've had loads of great sext conversations, thats nothing like being sent a random dick pic.

I watched a Mr Meno vid where he was talking about seeing a dick pic and thinking, "I recognise that".

So maybe gay men do.

Meadowfinch · 20/07/2026 05:48

Unsolicited dic pics are the modern day equivalent of the flasher in a grubby mac.

Why would anyone find that a turn on? It's just sad.

Honestly, my mind boggles on mumsnet sometimes! You can't imagine anyone enjoying sex? Do you throw up when you see one in person? Look the other way?

On mumsnet its like a race to be as sexless as possible. Just laying back and thinking of Britain. Its sad

Once when I was online dating a guy sent me a message to warn me that his cock was so huge most women couldnt handle it and sent me a pic with a TV remote next to it for scaleConfused. To be fair, it was v large but still....

OonaStubbs · 20/07/2026 00:57

Penises are disgusting and I would be quite happy to never see another one for as long as I live.

We had a student house next to a gay pub and one day found a dick pic Polaroid chucked over the fence into our back garden.
The guy had some of those really nerdy walking sandals on and nothing else.

Oh god no. Walking sandals, did he have socks on too?

Elsvieta · 19/07/2026 20:32

I think unsolicited dick picks are like a more extreme form of wolf whistling - or a slightly less extreme form of flashing. They don't think for a second that a woman is ever going to say "yes please, your place or mine?". It's about reminding you what you're for, in the mind of a misogynist - reducing you to your sexual function.

I don't think the genitals of either sex, when considered in isolation, are what you'd call attractive. I'm interested in whether it works the other way round - would a man ever see a pic of a vagina, without seeing the rest of her, and think, yes, this is a woman I want to meet? Or, men being men, would he just be delighted that a woman, any woman, seems interested?

cuckoolodger · 19/07/2026 20:20

My DH once sent me a flaccid pick with a mini Santa hat on the head and googly eyes. I laughed for 2 hours solid but it certainly didn’t turn me on although I did jump his bones when I got home. But no, I’ve ever even seen a dick pic and got the Fanny gallops.

I don't think the person sending it is doing it to turn you on. It's to turn themselves on.

Yes, much like the sad, pathetic blokes who flash their dicks at random women in the park etc. Or, as in my case once, on a train…
Presumably they get some sort of kick out of it.

I agree!

I wouldn't see him again. This isn't on at all after two dates, having not asked and not having actually seen it in person. He's made it really clear that that is all he's looking for - he is testing your boundaries

Yep.

"Thanks for the pic! I had decided to see you again because you seemed nice and exactly the kind of person I was looking for. As unappealing as that photo was (you need to see a doctor about that little wart near your balls by the way), I appreciate you sending it because now I know the kind of person you really are and I wont be seeing you again."

I have been on two dates with a guy I met on Bumble a week ago. We have lots in common, he seems fun, interested, kind, etc. and there is chemistry. We had a couple of passionate kisses and some slightly suggestive texting. This morning I woke up to a dick pic. Now I'm just confused, angry, and disappointed. Am I over reacting? Is it unreasonable to expect to be asked if I'd like a dickpic like before sending it? I'd have probably said no, tbh. They never do anything for me - now I just feel totally turned off the whole thing.

He sounds an absolute pillock. Bin.

Yes power and control and too shock you. They get off on it . Same as flashing. Sad people go and get help. Your mum isn't proud of you.

Yes I have and I have enjoyed lots of sex too. And sent a lover a sexy pic or ten 😂 even videos on occasion. Doesn't mean I want to see pictures of cocks. A cock is not an attractive body part. Especially in isolation. It's a personal preference I guess. Other women can do whatever they like,
but if a man wanted to get MY motor running he'd have to do a LOT better than that.

Your assumption that my dislike of dick pics makes me an uptight, sexless, frigid old bat suggests that it is YOU who is being
narrow-minded not me.

Lying back and thinking of England indeed. My DH would be VERY surprised to hear this description of me. 😂

There are much nicer things to fancy in a man before considering what his dick looks like.

Totally, totally and totally.

It's men imagining women share their porny, objectifying attitude to sex. I honestly don't think most women would get a thrill from staring at a man's crotch in the way that so many men do from ogling cleavage etc.

For me, romantic (I'm old-fashioned and proud of it) partners are so much more than their sexual organs!!
