We are a kind and welcoming group supporting each other in our daily tasks to organize and declutter and stay on top of all that needs doing. We share our accomplishments and brain dump our to-do lists in a friendly chat over coffee manner. 😊☕️

Love the thought of a glass of wine, Katie.
Cycling to start the day sounds great, Winter.

Took Havoc to eye appt masked. ✅
Picked up my mum's med supplies. ✅
Stopped at Costco for a few essentials with Havoc. What a trooper. ✅
Made lunch, tidied up, washed a load of laundry (mostly pj's and some new clothes including socks for me). ✅
Purged my sock drawer of old socks. ✅

Have made a pot of chicken broth from the rotisseries chicken I bought today. ✅
Sent Havoc for a nap at 4pm and Baby is asleep in my arms atm. 🩷
Feeling a bit wistful over how fast they've grown. 🥺

There is this moment with teenagers when the fun things they loved to do when small are suddenly considered 'sad'. And it is sad 😔 What I have discovered is that when they get properly adult ( and I don't mean 22, more like 30) they will go for walks with you again and jump in puddles and slide down muddy hills on plastic sacks. I mean it's possible that they are only doing it to appease this old lady but I do think they actually enjoy it. We even did a climbing wall together last year. Good luck with the bathroom @RunningKatie 💕

I am always impressed by anyone who makes proper stock ( I go in fits and starts with that) but with all that you are doing @Mumtobabyhavoc I take my hat off to you!

Swam about 20 lengths this morning. I find it quite boring but am determined to just get up and out the door each day without questioning whether I want to or not. I also lose count of lengths after a while but I was in the pool for 20 minutes. Walk planned for tomorrow then back at gym class on Monday. Haven't been back to aqua fit yet.

Feeling a bit lazy now and once again to be found outside with my book, ignoring housework. I'm going to have to do something useful today though. I believe I can hear DH cleaning the bathroom. He's only just crawled out of bed though.

I've let my beloved flylady's routines slide so perhaps I will get back to that, and add in the garden and shed as extra zones.

It took just three weeks of school for germs and bugs to start circulating again, have a rather coldy and grumpy child this weekend. At least it's not when my parents were here so no risk of infecting them. I foresee lots of screen time in our future...

Winter, I just bring to boil then simmer for about 90 mins. Just bones except spine and yukky bits, some skin and fat. Put it in the pot as I'm cutting the meat up. Cover with water and let it go while I'm doing other things. Then strain.
For soup I like to add chopped tomato for flavouring and other veg I have along with some chopped chicken or wontons, gyoza or noodles, either ramen or pasta. Season with salt. Honestly, so easy.

I've now vacuumed. I was in the kitchen and saw what looked like a bundle of hair on the floor, or a spider with very long legs. I crouched down and blew on it to determine which and it went shooting into the corner under the counter. I blew again and it bundled up.

That's what prompted the vacuum coming out. 🙄

Now, I'm in a bit of a pickle because I have a canister vacuum and have to figure out how to safely open it to empty. I figured vacuuming after sucking up the hair/spider would sandwich it in between dust and dirt, effectively trapping it.
I am not looking forward to opening the canister trap door and potentially having an angry spider jump out. 🙈😫
I'm also wondering how intrepid the spider is and if it will try to escape the vacuum. If, of course, it is a spider.
I should add, normally I use the "large cup or jar and sturdy paper method" to catch spiders and release them outside. I'm not a monster.

AIBU to throw the vacuum into the garbage and buy a new one?

Super Autumn Equinox Moon tonight, I would post a photo but it's very poor.
Dog normally can be a bit reactive to other dogs but tonight was an absolute dream so we could enjoy the warm-ish stroll and the lovely sky.
Today I have washed, ironed, took dc to their Saturday group, rearranged a drawer, tidied my wardrobe and bought a blind and accessories for the bathroom. I now need to do an online food shop.
Then I shall read my book and drink tea.
Hope your dc feels better soon @SingleThreadJoiner2 and Havoc too @Mumtobabyhavoc

We have a spider hoover @Mumtobabyhavoc - catches them and then I take them outside to be released. I got it from Amazon as the dc are totally useless at spiders and won't shower if there's an 8 legged chum in there with them!

I second the spider vacuum @Mumtobabyhavoc - just a cheap stick vacuum will do, fully charged and there for an emergency

Glad to see you're all keeping well 💕 - swimming, Greeceing, cooking, it's all going on

Took DD out today to have a look in selfridges in the Christmas section - she hated it but is very interested in 'spooky' Halloween and pumpkins, so I will lean into that

Tomorrow's tasks - hang up laundry, iron and put it all away. Clean the carpets

I've ignored the vacuum all day in lieu of starting a thread about it. 😁

Both kids have a fever. Baby has a runny nose and a bit of a cough. Havoc seems to be okay, but was looking pale and tired, so I gave Tylenol with Advil and it worked very well as dinner was eaten and I'm being asked for hot chocolate. 🙂

I spent 90 mins in the garden hacking at the tomato plants. Harvested 800g of lovely cherry and grape tomatoes. I added some to soup and my salad. Yum. 🙂
