The best TUI SplashWorld holidays: our favourite hotels with free waterpark access

If your kids judge their holiday resort by the number of waterslides rather than the quality of sand on the beach, a TUI SplashWorld holiday will be their idea of heaven. Every hotel comes with unlimited access to an on-site or nearby waterpark, making them a brilliant option for families with kids of all ages.

A grid of the best TUI SplashWorld holidays

If your kids (like mine) prefer to spend most of their holiday whizzing down waterslides, bobbing on a lazy river or just submerged in general, a TUI SplashWorld holiday is a no-brainer. Offering free, unlimited access to some of the world’s most popular waterparks, TUI’s SplashWorld holidays are designed for kids of all ages, from toddlers who love nothing more than splashing about in a pirate-themed splash park to teens looking to conquer the biggest, baddest flumes.

Located in popular spots including Greece, Spain, Turkey, Cyprus, Mexico and the Caribbean, these hotels either have on-site slides, chutes and lazy rivers or offer free access to standalone waterparks via a short walk or a shuttle ride. And you can expect some epic aquatic adventures at sites including Tenerife's world-famous Siam Park and Egypt's Pickalbatros Jungle Aqua Park Resort Neverland - home to 47 pools and no fewer than 81 slides!

The best SplashWorld hotels: at a glance

What do you get with a SplashWorld holiday?

Like all TUI holidays, SplashWorld breaks are designed to make family travel feel that bit easier. Flights, transfers and luggage are included, and if you’re lucky enough to bad one of TUI’s free kids’ places or take advantage of the £0 deposit scheme, they can be a surprisingly affordable way to enjoy an epic waterpark holiday.

  • Unlimited waterpark access

  • On-site waterpark or one within 15 minutes of the hotel

  • All-inclusive available at most hotels

  • Flights, transfers and luggage included

  • Kids’ clubs at most hotels

To help you choose your ideal waterpark adventure, we’ve rounded up our top ten favourite SplashWorld hotels - taking into consideration the size of the waterpark, range of family facilities, location, value for money and, of course, Mumsnet users’ experience.

If you wanted to splash out, the Pickalbatros Neverland Jungle Aqua Park. It has everything you'd want, it's a massive resort recently extended and has absolutely loads to do. Not on the beach, but there is a shuttle (and mini train) down to their sister hotel.

Our verdict

If your family measures a holiday by how many waterslides they can squeeze into a day, Pickalbatros Jungle Aqua Park Neverland should keep them busy - and then some! There are an incredible 47 pools and 81 slides, ranging from high-speed flumes and near-vertical drops to a lazy river and splash areas for younger children.

Waterpark access is included for hotel guests, so we recommend dipping in and out rather than trying to tackle the whole thing in one day.

Away from the slides, families stay in bungalow-style accommodation dotted around the resort's gardens, with plenty of space to spread out after a day at the waterpark.

There are 11 restaurants and bars, with options ranging from Italian food and burgers to Egyptian dishes. Younger children have a kids' club, while mini golf, tennis and evening entertainment give you a few alternatives when everyone's ready for some time out of the water.

What we like

  • Siam Park shuttle runs at set times which might impact your schedule

[Go to] Tenerife and book a hotel that gives you passes for Siam Park. It's one of the best water parks.

Our verdict

If you've got older children who'll happily spend all day racing down waterslides (and then ask to go back the next morning), Villa Mandi and Siam Park is a great option. Siam Park has everything from high-speed flumes and river rapids to gentler splash areas for younger children, so it works well if you've got children of different ages.

Villa Mandi is just a five-minute drive away, and guests get free unlimited entry to Siam Park, plus a complimentary shuttle bus between the hotel and waterpark. That means you can head back to the hotel when everyone's had enough rather than feeling you need to squeeze everything into one day.

Back at Villa Mandi, there are four outdoor pools, spacious apartment-style accommodation and a buffet restaurant, plus a seasonal kids' club for younger children. But let's face it, if you're booking this hotel, Siam Park is probably the main event.

3

Best all-rounder

Leonardo Laura Beach & Splash Resort, Paphos, Cyprus

What we like
  • Home to one of the top waterparks in Cyprus

  • Lots of adrenaline-pumping slides - great for older kids

  • On-site cinema and games room

  • Teen hangout area

What to know
  • Most slides have a 120cm height restriction so waterpark is better suited to school-age children

  • Beach isn’t sandy

  • Popular in peak season

Key specs

Louis Pantheon or Laura Beach both have onsite water parks. Both are beach front and Louis Pantheon is about a 20-30 minute transfer and Laura beach is a bit longer. Both have excellent Facebook groups with lots of information, definitely worth checking them out if you are on Facebook.

Our verdict

Close to the beach in the north of Paphos, Leonardo Laura Beach & Splash Resort has its own waterpark, with multi-lane racing slides, high-speed chutes and a space bowl. There are mini slides and a splash park for younger children too, although this hotel is probably a better bet for older kids who can make the most of the bigger rides.

Many of the slides have a minimum height restriction of 120cm, and children need to be six or over to use the wave machine.

There's plenty to do when everyone's had enough of the water, including a cinema room, games area and tennis courts. There are kids' clubs for children aged four to 12, although parents need to stay with their children during sessions, plus a separate hangout area for teenagers. Food options should go down well with families too, with a takeaway burger joint, pizza restaurant and sweet kiosk alongside a Greek taverna and Lebanese restaurant for evening meals.

4

Best for older kids

AQI Pegasos World, Antalya, Turkey

What we like
  • Huge on-site waterpark home to 13 slides

  • Close to a Blue Flag beach

  • Spacious family-friendly suites

What to know
  • Sunbeds get claimed quickly

  • Huge resort, lots of walking involved in getting around it all

  • Beach is pebbly in places

We like Pegasos World ... The family suites have two separate sleeping areas and the kids sleep on twin beds rather than sofa beds. There's a good choice of restaurants including a few which are a la carte if you get fed up of the buffet.

Our verdict

If water slides are your thing then you will LOVE this epic resort with an on-site waterpark on Turkey’s stunning south coast. Open daily from 8am to 8pm, you can spend all day hopping between white-knuckle black holes and twisty tunnel slides. And there’s a colourful pirate ship, a spray park, and pint-sized slides for smaller paddlers.

The hotel itself offers family-sized suites and a range of activities including football, tennis, beach volleyball and watersports. Nightly barbecues are on offer at the buffet restaurant and you can tuck into Italian, Asian and Turkish dishes at speciality spots.

With a fun-filled waterpark at your disposal it would be easy to overlook the local area but it’s well worth exploring the nearby Blue Flag beach as well as Side’s ancient ruins, just a 15-minute drive away.

Best luxury SplashWorld resort

Royalton Splash Riviera Cancun, Mexico

What we like
  • Huge onsite waterpark with 14 slides, two lazy rivers and dedicated splash zones

  • White sandy beach on-site

  • 12 restaurants and 10 bars on-site

  • Supervised kids’ club (4 - 12) and teen activities available

What to know
  • Expensive

  • Some activities (bowling, laser tag, etc) incur extra charges

  • Restaurants can get busy, worth booking ahead

Best à la carte restaurants for me was at the Royalton Splash Riviera in Cancun. Every one was top class, iirc there was 12, the steak place was amazing! There is a splash pool, water park and lazy river on site so the kids were happy as Larry. Hotel is also on the beach. If we ever went back to Cancun I wouldn’t think twice about booking the same hotel.

Our verdict

If the children want waterslides and you'd quite like a cocktail overlooking the Caribbean Sea, Royalton Splash Riviera Cancun manages to keep everyone happy. One of the newer additions to TUI's SplashWorld collection, its waterpark has 14 slides, two lazy rivers and separate splash areas for younger children. Guests get unlimited access throughout their stay, so there's no pressure to fit every slide into one exhausting afternoon.

There's plenty going on away from the waterpark too. The junior suites are spacious and contemporary, and there are 12 restaurants to choose from, covering everything from steak and sushi to Italian and Mexican food. There's also a supervised kids' club and evening entertainment, plus bowling and laser tag when you fancy a few hours out of the sun.

It's certainly at the pricier end of a family waterpark holiday, but you're getting a five-star Caribbean resort as well as the slides. If the adults want something a bit more luxurious without the children getting bored after two days, this ticks both boxes.

6

Best for younger children

Aqua Bay Hotel, Zante, Greece

What we like
  • Two-minute walk from Tsilivi Waterpark

  • Low-rise, laid-back hotel

  • Guests get access to Planos Bay Hotel for activities and kids’ clubs

What to know
  • Not as suited to older kids - there are plenty of slides but not quite as exciting as the likes of Siam or Pickalbatros Neverland

  • Some of the slides and wave pool operate on opening times so bear in mind planning your visit around this

  • Around 15 - 20 min walk from central Tsilivi

Have a look at Aqua Bay in Tsilivi Greece. It’s only 15 mins from the airport too so easy transfer time. You’re right in a resort with loads going on and places to eat and drink but the hotel is AI I think and has a water park attached.

Our verdict

If you’re keen to make the most of a waterpark on your next family holiday but don’t actually want to sleep next to the slides, the Aqua Bay Hotel in Zante is a good option. On the east coast of the island, this hotel is a laid-back low-rise retreat just a two-minute walk from Tsilivi Waterpark.

All guests get unlimited access to rides including the Space Bowl and Boomerango as well as racing slides and wave pool. There are seven pools for cooling off in and a dedicated kids’ area with animal-shaped slides and fountains.

The hotel is a five-minute drive from the beach and all guests have access to the facilities and kids’ club at the nearby Planos Bay Hotel.

7

Best SplashWorld in the Balearics

Globales Los Delfines, Cala’n Forcat, Menorca

What we like
  • Unlimited access to the neighbouring Aqua Center Menorca

  • 15-minute walk to the beach

  • Rooms and apartments available

What to know
  • Hotel rooms are fairly compact so families needing a lot of space may prefer an apartment option

  • Waterpark is smaller than the likes of AQI Pegasos World and Pickalbatros

  • Can get busy during peak season

  • Nearest sandy beach is around a 10 minute walk

Globales Los Delfines in Menorca. Anywhere in Menorca is great, and it’s a really short flight. If you go to the West Coast there’s good bus routes to Ciutadella which is the old capital of Menorca and really beautiful.

Our verdict

Mumsnetters love the Balearics in general and Menorca in particular for family holidays. It’s quieter than its Balearic neighbours Ibiza and Mallorca and is home to beautiful beaches and laid-back resorts.

In Cala’n Fort, Globales Los Delfines has a fantastic location just a 15-minute walk from the beach and right next door to the Aqua Center Menorca. All hotel guests get unlimited access to the waterpark’s kamikaze slides, flumes and water tunnels, and there’s a water castle and a splash area for younger swimmers.

There’s an on-site pool, a football pitch and a playground as well as a buffet restaurant with a dedicated kids’ section for family dining. The kids’ club caters to children aged 3-12 between May and October.

  • 13 bars and eight themed restaurants

We went to the Grand Sirenis Punta Cana over Easter this year. It was amazing value for money and we had a great time. I've been to nicer places but I'd still recommend it. The all inclusive included a fair amount of things that other AI places I've been to didn't. Like all a la carte restaurants and room service. It was pretty great.

Love the waterpark holiday deals - all inclusive and wi-fi for the instagram shots for your teens. Dominican Republic at a really good deal at the moment - really considering this for 2026. There are splash parks for younger and older children at Grand Sirenis Punta Cana Resort & Aquagames.
See Post
Our verdict

For a bit of thrill-seeking in tropical surroundings, consider a stay at the Grand Sirenis Punta Cana Resort & Aquagames, a huge beachfront resort on the Dominican Republic’s east coast.

This Caribbean island retreat features an on-site waterpark with a 10-metre-high tower home to chutes, toboggan slides and a free-fall twister slide. There are also racing slides for family fun and a pirate-themed kids’ area for children aged 4+.

There’s an impressive roster of activities including kayaking, snorkelling, tennis, volleyball and football, and there’s a beauty centre for treatments and massages. On the food front, you’ll be spoilt for choice with no fewer than eight themed restaurants and 13 bars.

Temperatures stay warm all year round but the best time to visit the Dominican Republic is between December and April during the dry season. Perfect for a holiday with the kids over the Christmas, February half term or Easter holidays.

9

Best value SplashWorld resort

AQI Venus Beach, Tunisia

What we like
  • Great value all-inclusive, particularly in school holidays

  • On-site waterpark so no need to plan shuttle transfers

  • Set directly on a sandy beach

  • Friendly atmosphere

  • Kids’ club (4 - 12)

What to know
  • Better suited to families with young children rather than thrill seeking teens

  • Around an hour’s transfer from the airport

  • Waterpark can get busy during peak times

Key specs

Board basis: All-inclusive | Nearest airport: Enfidha Airport (60 mins) | On-site kids’ club? Yes

Our verdict

If you're after a waterpark holiday without the eye-watering price tag, AQI Venus Beach in Tunisia is worth considering. It's right on a sandy beach just outside Hammamet, with an on-site waterpark included in the price and all-inclusive food and drink.

While it’s not quite as extensive as the likes of Pickalbtros, the on-site waterpark has multi-lane racing slides and twisting flumes, plus mini slides and water sprays for younger children. There are another two swimming pools too for when everyone needs a break from the slides.

There's plenty going on away from the waterpark as well, with a kids' club for younger children and football, archery and beach volleyball for older ones. And because the hotel sits right on the sand, swapping the pool for a beach day doesn't require packing everyone up for a day out.

It's not the most luxurious resort on this list, but that's not really the point. With the waterpark, sandy beach and meals all covered, AQI Venus Beach gives families a lot for their money and makes a good option if you'd rather spend your holiday budget elsewhere.
