TUI luxury family hotels in Greece

Family holidays and five-star hotels don’t always sound like a natural match. Luxury can conjure up images of serene spas and candlelit dinners rather than water slides, sandy footprints and energetic kids. But it is possible to combine grown-up indulgence with family-friendly fun. Particularly in Greece, where warmth, hospitality and style go hand in hand across its sun-soaked islands.

Think gourmet dining where kids are genuinely welcome, spacious suites with mod cons and sea views, and sipping poolside cocktails while your children make new friends at fabulous kids’ clubs.

Whether you’re after a beachfront escape or an activity-packed resort, we’ve rounded up a selection of hotels from Crete to Corfu, all tried, tested and loved by Mumsnetters who know how to holiday in style.

And each one is available to book via TUI, where you can take advantage of free kids’ places, £0 deposits and flexible payment plans to help with family budgeting.

Daois Cove, Crete

What Mumsnet users say

Daios Cove in Crete is wonderful. The drinks and restaurants are really good.

-Mumsnet user, Summerisere

Daios Cove is really nice. You can stay on a half board or all-inclusive basis. It doesn’t feel like an all-inclusive resort as the restaurants are so good.

-Mumsnet user, NoSunNoSun

Our verdict

Daios Cove is pure Greek island glamour - think sleek architecture carved into a private bay, shimmering infinity pools, and views for days. But despite its high-end appeal, this resort is genuinely welcoming for families.

There’s a fantastic kids’ club, kids’ menus at the gourmet restaurants, and a babysitting service for parents craving a romantic dinner. Families can spend their days snorkelling in the clear waters, joining a cooking class or simply lounging on the private beach.

The all-inclusive option at Daios Cove adds a sense of ease to the luxury and Mumsnet users rate the excellent food on offer. Don’t miss sunset cocktails overlooking the bay before retreating to a spacious room, suite or villa, some of which feature private swim-up pools.

What Mumsnet users say

Ikos Dassia in Corfu - lots of relaxed restaurants including a fabulous buffet. Not cheap but worth it if you can get a good deal!

-Mumsnet user, KnitFastDieWarm

[...] I did prefer Dassia because the pools were right behind the beach (at Aria the pools were higher up the resort) - both were fabulous though. We are returning to Dassia next year.

-Mumsnet user, JHip

Our verdict

Ikos is namechecked frequently by luxury-loving families on our holidays forum. Experts in indulgent all-inclusive escapes, the brand has several swanky properties in Greece and Spain, and Mumsnetters particularly like Ikos Dassia on Corfu’s stunning east coast.

Combining sleek, contemporary design with all the warmth and charm you’d expect from a Greek island escape, the all-inclusive concept is on another level and you can expect menus designed by Michelin-starred chefs, cocktails from award-winning mixologists and a Dine Out experience that lets you eat at local restaurants.

For parents, the spa and private beach are pure bliss. And kids will love the football academy, watersports and the brilliant kids’ club run by qualified childcare professionals. Add in family suites with private gardens or pools and you’ve got a luxury resort that really does cater for everyone.

What Mumsnet users say

Alila is the best one in my opinion - everything about Alila was perfect.

-Mumsnet user, anon199900

Our verdict

If you’re after a luxurious all-inclusive resort that doesn’t skimp on style, Mitsis Alila Resort & Spa is an ideal choice.

Overlooking a gorgeous stretch of sand in Faliraki, this gleaming white resort feels every bit the five-star retreat yet it’s brilliantly geared towards families.

There’s a dazzling array of dining options, from wood-fired pizzas by the beach to Asian fusion and kid-friendly creperies. Days can be spent relaxing by one of the elegant pools, unwinding in the spa, or trying your hand at water sports, horse riding and beach volleyball while the kids’ club keeps children entertained.

What Mumsnet users say

Atlantica Dreams in Rhodes and Atlantica Aegan Blue would meet your criteria. We love the Atlantica chain - great service and everything is such good quality.

-Mumsnet user, Forgottenmyphone

Had our own pool here which we loved. Nice selection of restaurants too.

-Mumsnet user, Ladybughoping

Our verdict

For families who want variety, comfort and five-star polish, the TUI BLUE Sensatori Atlantica Dreams Resort & Spa on the southeast coast of Rhodes ticks all the boxes.

You’ll find swim-up rooms and family suites, multiple pools (including a splash zone for younger kids), and a prime beachfront location. Parents can retreat to the spa or unwind with yoga by the sea, while teens and tweens make the most of the dedicated hangout spaces.

Dining is a highlight here with everything from laid-back grills to elegant à la carte restaurants. And because it’s part of the TUI BLUE Sensatori collection, you can expect a focus on wellbeing, entertainment and truly top-tier service.

What Mumsnet users say

We went to Domes of Elounda (Crete) last year and enjoyed it a lot. It was a much bigger resort than we’ve been to before but chose it due to the crèche/kids club which was really excellent. The beach was great and lovely staff. I’d definitely return or try another of the Domes hotels.

-Mumsnet user, EllaWallace

Domes of Elounda has villas where you can do self catering (with options to eat in the restaurants (or used to, it's several years since I've been). I loved it there.

-Mumsnet user, Ellomello

Our verdict

Above sparkling Mirabello Bay on Crete’s north coast, Domes of Elounda manages to combine barefoot luxury with family comfort. This five-star resort is known for its sophisticated design and spectacular views of Spinalonga Island and is also a haven for kids.

There’s direct access to a private sandy beach with shallow waters and a dedicated pool for children. Kids’ clubs are on offer for children aged four to 11 and there’s a creche available from four months so it’s excellent if you’re travelling with a baby.

Larger-than-average suites sleep families of up to four and some have private pools. Parents can unwind at the Soma Spa, dine at elegant seaside restaurants, or explore nearby Elounda village. It’s relaxed, refined and effortlessly family-friendly.

What Mumsnet users say

The included breakfast is excellent and it's very chic and spread out. The restaurants on site are lovely but be warned they are NOT cheap. There's a kids club but better for smaller kids, and some sort of kids disco but it definitely doesn't feel over done on the kids front. We found the staff absolutely lovely [...].

Skiathos has beautiful beaches. Elivi is a nice hotel if you want to stay somewhere high end. But a trip in to town on an evening is wonderful. It is magical.

-Mumsnet user, HScully

Our verdict

For something a little more boutique, Elivi Skiathos is a great choice. Set among pine trees and overlooking beautiful Koukounaries Beach on the island’s southwest coast, this chic resort offers understated luxury.

Rooms are sleek and modern, some with private pools or panoramic terraces. Families will love the variety of pools on offer as well as thoughtful touches like family yoga, a kids’ club and babysitting services. Dining is relaxed but elegant - expect fresh Mediterranean flavours served al fresco with sea views.

It’s the kind of place where parents can truly switch off, yet there’s still plenty to keep the kids happy, from paddleboarding to exploring nearby coves.

What Mumsnet users say

Amazing choice of food. But then you're paying top whack. Went a few years ago.

-Mumsnet user, Moonshine5

Our verdict

Part of the renowned Sani Resort complex in Halkidiki, Sani Beach is consistently voted one of Europe’s best family hotels, and for good reason.

The setting is breathtaking: a stretch of soft white sand and crystal-clear waters backed by lush pine forest and there’s a huge range of activities on offer, from sailing lessons to eco adventures plus a world-class spa and fine dining restaurants. The childcare here is exceptional too, with a baby club, a kids’ club and teen lounge all run by the Ofsted-approved childcare experts.

Parents can sneak off to a wine tasting or a fitness class while the kids make memories at the adventure park or football academy. Add in stylish rooms, impeccable service and that signature Sani attention to detail.
