Whether you're looking for a city break or a coastal escape, read on for our top UK family travel deals.

Family holiday deals are hard to come by but you can still save big if you know where to look. We've searched high and low to put together a selection of staycation savings to help you find a bargain UK break for your brood this summer. If you haven't got anything lined up for the school holidays yet, we've rounded up the hottest deals below.
Holiday Extras is offering a family getaway in London including a hotel stay, breakfast and a 24-hour pass to explore the river Thames at your leisure from £130 all in. This brilliant-value bundle is available right up until
December 23, including dates over the summer holidays. Your best bet for securing a bargain is by selecting a Sunday night stay. We found the cheapest rates at the Holiday Inn Express London Limehouse. The sightseeing river cruise is operated by City Cruises and allows you to hop on and hop off at popular spots including Westminster Pier and Greenwich Pier.
If you move quickly you can secure a week-long family holiday at a Haven holiday park for less than £500 this summer. The best deals are based on an arrival date of 29 August (great if your kids are back in school on 5 September or later). We found sub-£500 breaks at
Craig Tara in Scotland (£455), close to beautiful beaches in Ayrshire; The Orchards in Essex (£479), a holiday park with a 9-hole golf course and two fishing lakes close to Clacton-on-Sea; Blue Dolphin in Yorkshire (£485), between sunny Scarborough and the seaside town of Filey; and Allhallows in Kent (£489), a 15-minute drive from Rochester and home to a new Adventure Village.

Travelodge has put 850,000+ rooms up for grabs for £32 or less as part of a 'Summer of Savings' promo. We found summer room rates for around the £30 mark in cities including Manchester, Aberdeen and Coventry (last year's City of Culture), as well as coastal spots like
Plymouth, Barrow in Furness and Poole. The cheapest rates apply to Standard Rooms; we found Family Rooms available from £50ish. The cheapest rates apply to stays between Sunday and Thursday. Look for the 'Saver rates' for the best deals.
From Cornwall to Cumbria, Cottages.com has some awesome properties to book for your next family escape. We particularly love that you can narrow down a search based on whether a cottage is pet-friendly, has a hot tub or is within one mile of a pub.

If you happen to live anywhere on the Chiltern Railways network (hi Stratford-upon-Avon, hello there Birmingham, howdy Oxford), you can save big on a family train ticket to London. One adult and one child (under 16; under fives travel free anyhow) can travel to
the capital after 10am on weekdays for a grand total of £30 return including unlimited bus and tube journeys and 2-for-1 entry to top attractions including the London Dungeon and London Zoo. When you've entered your travel dates, look for the 'semi flexible return' price to see the Family Travelcard deal. The total price for a family of four is £54.80.
