No, OP was called the offensive term...
Somebody called OP a 'Karen' because she commented about the range being male only.
Ha ha did I read it wrong . It is school.holidays in my defence
Sorry I should have been clearer. I was called it on Twitter by a nameless, pictureless ‘person’.
Well that makes no sense. So Karen is any woman who complains about anything now? It really has become a catch-all insult to shut us up.
Karen is a white woman complaining about all the silly incidental things us white women complain about. It’s supposedly a calling out of racism meme that has quickly became about misogyny, both blaming white women (but not men) for all racism and claiming is white women have life so easy that we use our white privilege to wield power over all other non privileged groups (which frequently includes white males depending which meme/tv show etc you’re looking at) because we are super petty bitter women with nothing real to moan about as we’ve never experienced any hardship in life ever.
Karen was trending on Twitter today. It seems Karens are women who oppose wearing masks, and also women who try to enforce wearing masks, and also any woman who does anything daft or who tries to stand up for herself in any circumstances.
There's been some attempts to create a male version (Kevin, Biff, Chad) but it's falling flat.
I feel we're getting to the stage where Karen = any woman (cunty type) who does something a man doesn't like

Fuck me, I'm going to start IDENTIFYING AS A KAREN if that ^ is it!

We’ve already got there
It was inevitable. Men love keeping women in their place.
I nearly went off on one this morning. I had message in my Twitter timeline, from Sainsbury’s official account no less, explaining why no, they “would not be enforcing mask wearing in store, Karen”.
Thank god I engaged brain before Twitter finger and realised it was actually the genuine name of the Sainsbury’s employee that posted the message and not a lazy, misogynistic insult to who ever had made the original enquiry. Phew.
Isn't it interesting how all of a sudden everyone knows what a woman is when they're spouting "Karen" as an insult? It's blatant misogyny. Incels and so called liberals are getting away with their sexism because it's now trendy to shit on white women.
It does seem that 'amabs' who identify as women are happy to throw the Karen insult around without ever thinking it could apply to them.
I got my first shout down on twitter today after I answered a question about why people think children should be held off from transitioning. I was called a dipshit and a special kind of stupid for stating that puberty blockers are largely untested and therefore experimental, that mNy clinicians have left GIDS due to their concerns and they're being sued by their safeguarding lead, and I simply don't think that allowing a child, who cannot drive, drink, have sex or get married should be allowed to make other life changing decisions. There was a lot of ranting about how it's not a choice or decision and a story about someone's Yugoslavian grandmother. Do I belong to a club now? Women who are wrong for liking science perhaps?
claiming is white women have life so easy that we use our white privilege to wield power over all other non privileged groups
Excuse me, that’s Cis white privilege
