Rose of Dawn has been tenacious on this.

Outrageous, but not not surprising, eh?

"More than a month after votes closed in a one-candidate election, Eden Ladley has announced she's now the NUS Trans Officer, officially taking over Jess Bradley's position from today.

This comes 11 months since Bradley was suspended. No action was ever taken. Don't forget." t.co/IsHcAvf1Hm

Crikey. Teflon eh? Unless exposing yourself at work is OK now (it really isn’t)

Rose of Dawn
@RoseOfDawn
I’ve talked to the NUS Press Office as I’d assumed the Jess Bradley investigation had come to an end.

It hasn’t.

The reason?

It’s a CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION.

Whatis, that does seem to be an acceptable position for more and more organisations...

JessicaWakefieldSV · 01/07/2019 16:24

It’s a CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION

Is it?!

SunsetBeetch · 01/07/2019 16:28

Is Eden Ladley a bit...problematic? Name is ringing a bell.

No action then? Were they on gardening leave (ie paid for doing nothing). That’s terrible. I’m sure the photos were too.

Sexnotgender · 01/07/2019 16:30

Great news that it’s a criminal investigation. Hope it’s not WYP though. They’d likely hire them as a diversity officer rather than charge them with anything.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 01/07/2019 16:31

Lovely personage.

KatvonHostileExtremist · 01/07/2019 16:31

My favourite is when Eden goes on about transmen, cos, they've got all the male privilege. Grin

As for Bradley. Wow. Good. I'm glad it's a criminal investigation. Rose of Dawn has been amazing on this. Hunting the truth.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 01/07/2019 16:32

Did my pic not pop?

Wonder if Carter Ruck are still representing Bradley.

I always think that sounds like a joke girl from The a thick of It.

SunsetBeetch · 01/07/2019 16:49

Ah, didn't see the criminal investigation bit. Hmmnn

OP posts:
LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 01/07/2019 17:28

I missed that too. What would the crime be (beyond ‘crimes against good taste’).

R0wantrees · 01/07/2019 17:34

Eden Ladley was one of two male NUS officers who ran the 'How To Deal With Terfs' workshop at NUS 2018.

Discussion about the slideshow on FWR last year was connected with the MN intern's false allegations etc

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 01/07/2019 17:37

Aren’t they outing themself as trans - I thought that was a Nono these days. Or am I wrong there?

I swear to god, even through I have a teen boy, I will never understand the internal workings of the male brain.

thread 4 re Jess Bradley's suspension from NUS, OP Popchyk wrote Thu 28-Feb-19

"And an article written by Bradley's estranged wife:

www.sarahmcculloch.com/statement-jess-bradley/

Provides a lot of background and confirms that Action for Trans Health received a report of sexual assault and a further six reports of sexual misconduct of Jess Bradley.

"With ATH and NUS seemingly compromised, there is a third organisation conducting an investigation, the Proud Trust, an LGBT youth charity in Manchester who run the LGBT centre in Sidney Street among other things. I have spoken to them on the phone and they have said there are a number of safeguarding concerns which have been raised and they are receiving disclosures from any individuals who will be treated with confidence and respect, supported if they wanted the police involved but otherwise nothing will happen without the consent of the individuals involved unless they were under 18 at the time as they will have a statutory duty to disclose this".

Girl wife?

R0wantrees · 01/07/2019 17:43

Eden Ladley name checked Mumsnet in campaigning materials for the NUS Trans Officer position.

R0wantrees · 01/07/2019 17:45

There was also the NUS Trans 18 conference debacle.
Eden Ladley was one of the key organisers of the event.

summerofresistance · 01/07/2019 17:49

Bradley's wife is an actual woman, yes, but it seems to have been some kind of marriage of convenience, not a romantic liaison.

Yambabe · 01/07/2019 17:58

I could be wrong, but I thought Eden was in a polyamourous relationship with Bradley and A N Other?

HandsOffMyRights · 01/07/2019 18:14

Rowan, for a site that is painted by Harrop, Islan and others as an inconsequential meeting point for a fringe group of phobic housewives, Mumsnet isn't half influential.

I might add NSPCC and Mermaids to my CV when demonstrating one's ability to spot safeguarding red flags.

StillLostinEdinburgh · 02/07/2019 16:10

Talking of NSPCC, anybody know what's happened about their staff wanker?
