Sarah Phillimore has reported the NSPCC to the charities commission, as they refused to confirm that either the allegations made about wanking@work are false or that they are investigating matter.

As she says, this is another Oxfam or Kids Company waiting to happen. Thank you Sarah for devoting your expertise to this.

Investigating the video, rather than the matter that JM produced in the video, I mean.

She is very articulate and firm. Hopefully, some good can come of this mess.

Thank goodness someone is standing up for the priority of the safety of children rather than staff!

She's wonderful. I picked up from another tweet that she has personal experience of being failed by adults who should have been there for her and that's what motivates her.

Flowers for you, Sarah, if you're reading.

Is Sarah a mumsnetter ? I am getting a bit of deja vu here.

I admire her making this public.

However, I have absolutely zero faith in the Charity Commission after reporting my own workplace for systemic safeguarding failures of hundreds of vulnerable adults. As of yet (four months and counting) there has been no response that I know of.

I know that I read a piece she wrote in the last year or so on the topic of family courts and trans issues, but I cannot for the life of me find it now. Will continue looking.

Good for you Sarah. Thank you. You have significant professional standing, and that helps.

I know who Sarah is/was on here, I remember her well. I won't say it here, but I'm sure lots of us remember her.

I can't find it now, but that fetishist WAS investigated by NSPCC last December. He blogged about it, how he was entitled to have a life outside work etc. That NSPCC allowed him to keep a public blog boggles the mind.
