Transwomen, we are told, are a harmless bunch. No harm to anyone, most oppressed on the planet.

Yet...

"Bashing to death" (a male), yes, seems a totally female crime and all.

Seriously, Jade is doing it wrong. We mere females generally need to use a weapon to level the playing field.

Really don't want you in our spaces Jade, if you can bash a male to death.

Watch out - we've just had a spanking on another thread for raising crime stats.

I hope you're not drawing a connection between trans people and crime. KateMumsnet has just been on the What would it take to peak trans the world thread saying that that is not acceptable.

Oh heck OP, your in trouble from HQ for posting that. As pp have said, we've had our knuckles rapped for similar. I however, thank you for posting.

It happens. Everything we say could happen actually has happened. but apparently "just one" girl becoming the victim of a sexual attack or "hardly ever" being subject to voyeurism is part of the price we must pay to be on the right side of history Hmm

I don't get how a man can suddenly become 'riskless' by saying he is a woman. We know men are violent, that doesn't change with 'transition'.

In my eyes transwomen are as much of a risk to women as men are, whatever that risk is.

But a man who says he is a woman has actually been a woman all along Moonkissedlegs. HTH

That there is no evidence to suggest that male pattern offending rates decrease post transition is one of the most important objections to self-ID. How can we not discuss it?

I can't discuss crime statistics? This is a problem because it's a frequent claim by trans activists that trans people are a highly at-risk group. Being able to show that both this claim is dubious and that MtF trans have, for example, a high rate of sexual offence, are really the only way of disputing that. It is not right if one group can make claims and another group cannot challenge that.

It's not that all trans people are violent. It's that a very specific group (which comprises the bulk of the trans activist community) gets included in trans.

Of course "it never happens" if we can't even talk about it. Hmm

Also, there is an issue with people changing gender (and name), thus making it difficult to find out about their past.

It's drawing a link between males and crime.

So basically this is a person born male, but transitioned, who has beaten another man to death? And it is reported and recorded as a ‘she/sister/woman’ who did this?
And it is not acceptable to question this?

What grounds do female-bodied people have then for seeking sex-based protections, if the reports and the statistics suggest that ‘women’ are just as violent?

Of course no one is saying that all trans people are criminals.

Correct. However, there is a lot of propaganda that Genuine Transwomenâ„¢ would never commit crime or be violent. The point of the post was to refute that.

So, NATALT (not all trans are like that)

@KataraJean

Write a complaint. I have. The word "sister" has a specific definition and refers only to a female person. The reporter knows that the criminal was not a female person. This is false reporting, a breech of ethics and policy. It wouldn't be ok if it was any other minority group being falsely associated with a crime, it's not ok when it's women. You can be respectful to the persons belief system by using neutral terms such as 'sibling', there's no reason to lie by saying 'sister'. The only reason to report it the way they have is to deliberately misrepresent the truth which is not acceptable and it against the law and their own policies.

Half of all transgender prisoners in the UK are sex offenders or dangerous category A inmates.]]

This is relevant because of the potential danger to women prisoners and the skewing of crime statistics.

NATALT, Under Birds Eye.

Yes, I preface all comments with that.

I throw my hands up with this one, because I have been collecting statistical data on ALL homicides/femicides for AU for the last few years. I only have, on my beloved spreadsheet of knowledge, the overall categories of 'male' and 'female' (for both victim and perp). Now I clearly need to add a 'trans' column to BOTH.

Thus far I can tell you, I only have one in each (victim, perp) columns over the last few years. The victim of a few years ago, transwoman, killed by gay boyfriend, both were previously involved in prostitution together. But certainly not any 'higher risk' than the average female, given the circumstances. The only different factor, was the cannibalism involved, which seems generally, a very gay male kind of thing (think Dahmer).

I will probably be light years ahead on any official stats, that will put either victim or perp into female/male categories. Trans want to be special, to be noted as the most oppressed victims, yet don't want to be noted in the official stats as trans victims? You cannot have it both ways is my saying. If you want to be singled out in the victim pool, then you get singled out in the perp pool too.
