Omg!
Poor bob
Hated that episode with the punks - what was that? I got the feeling it was some reference to some 80s classic film but it went over my head

SheRaaarghPrincessOfPower Sat 28-Oct-17 09:26:25

I liked it, but it felt pretty disjointed. Punks episode irritated me too, I think they could have introduced her sister in a much better way.

Presumably there are several others like her out there.

Reckon the hell mouth will reopen next season and she'll have to call on other sisters that may be out there to assist

TheGreaterGoodTheGreaterGood Sat 28-Oct-17 09:27:34

Yeah, I think the sister was introduced so they can have a new season.

I cried like a baby at Dustin dancing with Nancy blush

AdalindSchade Sat 28-Oct-17 10:59:50

I know!!! Poor Dustin.
Think you're right about other kids being out there.
Can anyone explain how the gate/portal was closed but yet the hole in the pumpkin patch stayed open?

SheRaaarghPrincessOfPower Sat 28-Oct-17 11:14:03

Did it stay open? I thought they got out before Eleven closed the gate?

Did anybody else think the Shadowmonster at the end was looking ready to lay eggs?
Errrgghh

TheGreaterGoodTheGreaterGood Sat 28-Oct-17 11:23:19

Also loved the bit where Dustin played Stantz (Ghostbusters) then said Stantz's lines from the original Ghostbusters - thought that was lovely and subtle.

just finished it awwww dustin!

I liked Bob too sad

I hated the introduction of the sister and didn't quite 'get' how she escaped? But yes, there will be other 'sisters' and 'brothers' lets not assume its all sisters.

Want to see Max's family get themselves sorted too.

HidingBehindTheWallpaper Sat 28-Oct-17 22:48:21

Loved it. We spent all day watching.
I agree with the dislike of the punks episode.
My heart broke for Dustin at the end.

I think the hole in the pumpkin patch didn’t close as they had dug it.

I really felt for Steve too. He’s a nice lad, it’s a shame he didn’t get someone in the end.

Poor Dug.

HidingBehindTheWallpaper Sat 28-Oct-17 22:48:45

I mean Bob, not Dug.

I thought the boy that played Will was terrific. We didn't actually see loads of him last season but he was amazing this time. I also love that Joyce is a typical mum who won't let things go. She could have been fobbed off season 1 but she refused to believe he was dead and now season 2 she didn't feel things were quite right and they weren't! Love her.

Bob was the sweetest. He was so nice it was obvious what was going to happen to him! Poor man.

It annoyed me when they took Will to the hut to get the shadow monster out. I wondered exactly what they expected would happen when it actually came out of his body.... I feel like they were very unprepared!

Yep, I binge-watched them all.

I'm curious to see how Max's step-brother is going to fit in next series - couldn't see where that plot-line was going.

Great acting overall but those kids, really impressed.

Ontheboardwalk Sat 28-Oct-17 23:01:09

I love Steve. Didn't think I would say that

HidingBehindTheWallpaper Sat 28-Oct-17 23:03:22

What did Max’s brother have against Lewis? Is it a race thing?

SaltaKatten Sat 28-Oct-17 23:51:49

That was brilliant! I think I need to rewatch season 1 and then watch season 2 again. I loved Jane's bitchin new look smile poor poor Bob, I didn't think he would actually die!

allaboutthatsass Sun 29-Oct-17 11:24:53

#justiceforbob is the new #justiceforbarb

AdalindSchade Sun 29-Oct-17 11:36:40

Yes I think he was racist and that's why he hated Lewis.
The child actors are amazing.

DrMadelineMaxwell Mon 30-Oct-17 21:49:36

I love the younger characters. A friend who hasn't heard of it asked me to describe it to her and I said it was like The Goonies crossed with the x files. Sort of. smile

NoCryLilSoftSoft Mon 30-Oct-17 22:01:58

Just finished watching it today.

I like it but didn’t think it was as gripping as the first season. I do still love the show and the whole idea. I love the opening credits and the music. It’s brilliant. Eleven actress just blows me away. She is amazing.

Does anyone else think she looks like a young Elizabeth Perkins?

Loved Max as well. Who reminded me of Tiffany out of eastenders! and her horrible brother billy who reminded me of rob Lowe. grin

I didn’t really get the whole punk episode. Not sure what the point of it was other than to set up season 3. It’s seemed a bit “shoe horned” in.

And poor bob!! I was convinced he was a bad guy. I kept expecting him to double cross them.

ALemonyPea Mon 30-Oct-17 22:07:19

Just finished it. Poor Bob.

Loved this series just as much as the first. The actor who plays Mike is an amazing actor.

SheRaaarghPrincessOfPower Mon 30-Oct-17 22:07:55

I think the punk episode was to show Eleven just how powerful she could be, and to open up the possibility of contact with other 'siblings'

Anybody else starting to really like the name Eleven?

NoCryLilSoftSoft Mon 30-Oct-17 22:09:13

Anybody else starting to really like the name Eleven?

grin

SheRaaarghPrincessOfPower Mon 30-Oct-17 22:10:48

Btw...

NoCryLilSoftSoft Mon 30-Oct-17 22:11:48

I really do love the whole story. A girl, abused, manipulated and exploited, and yet she is the hero that saves the world, twice. I love that it’s a girl. And they all need her to survive.

SheRaaarghPrincessOfPower Mon 30-Oct-17 22:13:13

It's the new Buffy

SheRaaarghPrincessOfPower Mon 30-Oct-17 22:14:10

Not that Buffy was abused, more overcoming the 90s
