Afternoon

I just had to post about my new discovery (after someone in another thread said how fab it is). They were right, I’m blown away on first use, my forehead wrinkles are hardly noticeable! Bonus it’s a third off in Boots aswell (no wonder there was only 2 left on the shelf!). I’ve also purchased the Retinol face so will try that tonight (reviews from Caroline Hirons & in Boots are good so I’ve got high hopes). 😀 I seriously need to stop looking on here, it’s costing me a small fortune!! Ha

I agree! I may start stockpiling incase they ever discontinue. Best thing I've found for my forehead wrinkles.

MaryPoppinsStoleMyHandbag · 19/03/2018 19:56

I’m tempted, especially with 1/3 off, but a lot of the reviews on the Boots website are v off putting! Do you both wear with foundation over it? One review states that they can’t get their foundation to sit or blend at all with it on.

Ididnthearanything · 19/03/2018 20:35

I thought it was a heap o' crapola.

Lucked · 19/03/2018 20:43

I found it impossible to put my double wear on top, it wouldn’t spread evenly . I tried thick, thin, right away and waiting a bit.
Is there a trick?

SporkInTheToaster · 19/03/2018 20:47

Great if you like a metric fucktonne of silicones. They are why you struggled to get make up over the top, Lucked. It all just pills / balls / rolls up onto bobbles on the surface. Grim.

Fullfatlatte · 19/03/2018 21:19

Delatron & Mary Poppins - I’m thinking the same thing, especially if the retinol face works for me overnight (just put it on after cleansing, skin feels lovely & soft). I tried the Nanoblur over foundation on my forehead and over nose & cheeks and was amazed, no rolling or pilling (guess it may vary for some depending on what foundation you use). I use Bobbi Brown foundation stick. So far I’m happy with my purchases 😀

I read the reviews on the boots site and it seemed like people were smearing it all over their face and that's why it wasn't working.
I use a little bit in forehead wrinkles only, pat it in. It's good for large pores too. I'm well aware it's silicone so I use it like a pollyfiller for wrinkles. I don't use it with foundation so can't comment on how it works with that.

Delatron · 19/03/2018 22:31

fullfatlatte I also love retinol. That plus the nanoblur has really helped the forehead wrinkles. Retinol takes a while to see effects but stick with it.

Fullfatlatte · 20/03/2018 06:56

Thanks Delatron. Do you use the Retinol reface every night, did you start every other day? I’m going to purchase another one whilst it’s on offer in Boots 👍

I've got their retinol and it's the best I've used. My skin is very accustomed to retinol and yet it made me peel after the first use (which is great but a bit impractical), so I've slowed down to 3 times a week for now.

Delatron · 20/03/2018 08:45

fullfatlatte I use a different retinol, 0.5% but have had good results. I started using 3/4 nights a week and built up. Everyone's skin is different so see how you get on. SPF 50 every day is a must. I reapply in the afternoon too!

JoolsSchmools · 20/03/2018 09:36

It broke me out and made my foundation look weird. Probably because my skin couldn't breathe under all the silicone.

Delatron · 20/03/2018 09:56

There's no way I'd put it all over my face! Yes that would look weird and not work at all. Tiny bit in the forehead lines works for me.

Fullfatlatte · 20/03/2018 11:12

Thank you. I will see how the retinol goes with just using every other night first. I also just applied the Nanoblur to my forehead lines, not all over my face. Works a treat. Re. SPF, I purchased Clinique city block in spf 40 yesterday, I couldn’t decide between Ultrasun, La-Roche Posay (Ultra light)!! After a bit more research (& watching a video from Caroline Hirons!) I ended up with Clinique.

Ooh ooh - that was me! (recommending Nanoblur on the TV thread)

Glad it works for you Smile

I tried this stuff years ago when it first came out. Didn't do much for me!

thiskittenbarks · 21/03/2018 12:23

I found it awful no matter how I used it - have a nearly full tube! Will try it again perhaps. How much are those who it works for using? Pea size amount? Or less?

Delatron · 21/03/2018 13:44

Yes, pea sized amount on 11's and horizontal forehead wrinkle.
