Tis the season...

The first one I've seen actually for sale is the John Lewis Beauty Advent Calendar. £149 with a great selection of products.
Ordered mine!

Ooh.

I'll probably go for the M&S one again. I only had a very quick look at the photo, so as not to spoil the surprise!

Actually, the Sleek one looks nice too.

And the Soap and Glory one.

Fuuuuuuck.

I've had the M&S calendar for the last 2 years and loved it - but it looks as though lots of the products are the same again this year, so I might try something different this time. Thanks for the link!

I'd really like the Jo Malone calendar - but it's £300, so that's never going to happen :-(

ZaZa, there is a link on yours to a gin advent calendar as well. Will be dropping heavy hints about that one 🍸🍸

I enjoyed the M&S one last year, with the exception of 1) The two very similarly coloured nail varnishes and 2) The vast number of hair products for thick/unruly hair - mine is fine and flat so it's a shame they didn't include any volumising products.

That said, I was looking forward to buying it again this year and yet I am surprised/a bit disappointed to see how many products seem to have been recycled! Hmm...

I've just ordered a candle one from a local company.

I've never had one.
M&S or L'Occitane?
Can't decide.

I'm getting the M&S one again, I loved most of the items last year and I managed to swap with my two girls the few things I didn't want. I have since bought several full size versions, including the Blue & Shay perfume which I would never have come across without the travel size one in the calendar.

The M&S one did have two very similar nail polishes, didn't it?

I loved the felt tip eyeliner, and the liquid gold acid toner.

I'll be sticking to the chocolate and cardboard ones at those prices.

@CanIBuffalo

I had the L'Occitane one last year and will be buying again this year. I like the fact it is body care and face care rather than make up and nail polish. I happily use all the little treats in L'Occitane, whereas I know there would be make up or nail colours that wouldn't suit me and the calendar would then become quite pricey. Also, with L'Occitane, you can buy the calendar without having to spend another £35 before they'll even let you put the calendar in your basket.

I was given L'Occitane vouches by the children at school at the end of last term purely to buy my calendar - can't wait.

Even though Jo Malone is ££££ it was going for double the retail price, on EBay! 😱

I haven't seen one yet but I saw one last year and these things get more and more popular every year. I'm holding out hope that Beavertown or similar release one.

I'd like some sort of beauty one for DD, who's 12. Hopefully there are some for more like £20 or £25

Can I get in an early vote for swapsies of the M&S calendar? I absolutely loved the RHW lip glossy and managed to end up with 3 thanks to MN swapping

Mumsie, there were loads of craft beer ones last year.

The year before last I bought DD the benefit one. It was 12 days of Christmas (or every other day of advent, whatever). That was about £25 from Debenhams. They sell out quickly every year though.

We just had Hotel Chocolat ones last year. They were v nice.
