Gah....you beat me to it Blair
Where's Shop she'll be v pleased with us.
Liberty do it, seriously if, like me, you love Christmas pud and you love ice cream then it's a winner all round. The tub is so small though. DH is away and we've left him a taste .......but I'm not sure I really love him that much Grin

Christmas pud and ice cream are two of my favourite things Dry I'd be tempted to drizzle a little brandy over it too I suspect

I like my pud boozy and with Baileys ice cream, you should try it.
Fashion wise October was quiet. Returned dress and coat I bought last week and didn't really mention. You know, honestly, I don't really need anything Shock really not sure what's come over me

Hmmmmm sounds so good. I had better start doing some exercise so I can justify the Christmas excess.

Year! Shiny new thread!

Dry - I'm going to have to get that ice cream. The other Heston thing I need to get is something promoted in the new Waitrose Magazine - the large ice cream chocolate bar thing. Ahh, Christmas - thank goodness the dog is forcing me to do loads more exercise!

I love your annual birthday fest Shop sounds fab. Looking forward to hearing what you wear.

Mom you are the queen of the red lip as far as I am concerned. Since I've been diagnosed as a Winter I've been told to try blue toned reds. I went to Mac and came away with Ruby Woo which is the perfect colour for me but is very drying. Can you recommend any others that maybe have a slightly more moisturising texture? What were you wearing at the MU? Was it Russian Red?

Report
LinusDKD · 06/11/2014 08:25

shop I have Russian Red and it is lovely but also quite matte. Have you tried wearing their lip primer underneath?

If you don't want to break the bank have a look at the Loreal collection privé pure reds. They will probably sell different ones in each country (depending how popular or well known the celebrity is in that country) but I really like Julianne's red (more of a coraly red) and JLo's red (very similar to Russian Red)

I have only tried them on in the department store but they feel lovely and are very pigmented.

lib yes I'm training for a HM so I don't really have time to be laid up. Stupid foot. Still in bed this morning - am hoping for miraculous recovery when I stand up :)

Really random red lip suggestion but Prohibition by collection 2000 or whatever they're calling themselves these days is a lovely colour and quite creamy. Great for the money.

Thanks for the red tips ladies.
Are you buying anything from the Wang collection for H&M Amber?

Report
BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 06/11/2014 09:24

Morning!

Had forgotten about Wang H&M. The site is down now of course. I saw some previews and don't think it's really me, but can definitely see Amber in lots of the pieces. Hope your foot is better soon btw, DP gets plantar fascitis, he bought a foot brace thing which seems to give some overnight relief.

Shop the quote is in the OP

have a good day all :)

Sorry Shop I should have said whose quote it was!

Harry Winston American jeweller. I can't remember where I first heard it but it's one of those things I mutter to myself when I am feeling self conscious.

I'd take a day or two off running Amber and give it a rest as it can set in and take ages to heal, I ran through it training for a 10km a few years ago and ended up in a lot of pain. Maybe see a podiatrist for advise?

Waiting here in Westfield for shops to open (errands, not fun stuff) and there is a mahoosive queue outside H&m - is any of the Wang stuff worth fighting the crowd for?

Report
Mominatrix · 06/11/2014 09:51

shop - I have the same problem with Ruby Woo. It was Russian Red that I was wearing. I also love the Nars fat pencils, and always have one on me. Unfortunately, it is in the car in my gym bag, so I can't tell you the name of the colour. I actually find the Nars pencils easier to wear because it is much more precise going on. Also, the formulation, although it is a pencil, is quite moist and smooth to put on.
