Ooops, sorry, I didn't mean to finish the thread.

MrsSchadenfreude Thu 17-Jul-14 21:45:22

Well someone had to!

NUFC69 Thu 17-Jul-14 21:48:18

Rose, I guess you're very anxious in view of what is happening. I will be thinking about you and your DS.

Blackduck Thu 17-Jul-14 21:50:33

Ds was fab in end of school production - lots of praise including from people he didn't know smile

QueenQueenie Thu 17-Jul-14 21:57:20

Wow. Am seriously impressed with our prolificness? prolificity?? chattiness - we filled that last thread in just over a fortnight! Like the new thread title too... Can I put in an early bid for WAF's suggestion for the next one - 'Summertime and the Crepeys are Easy'.

Just popping on to say Hi and mark my place for later.

Where is Wilbur?

QueenQueenie Thu 17-Jul-14 21:59:27

And BOO to horrible bullies and a big hug to Little Herbs and his theatrical talents. Did you cry watching him Herbs? Is there a video you can show us on 25th?

Ditto Master BD.

bigTillyMint Thu 17-Jul-14 22:07:56

I'm here and counting the days till I can shout the thread title from the playgroundsmile

Multiple videos, QQ. I shall bring a screen and projector.

Blackduck Thu 17-Jul-14 22:13:01

Ds currently gracing FB......

Charity concert tomorrow - he's playing and singing sky all.

Hoover has died spectacularly.

QueenQueenie Thu 17-Jul-14 22:13:25

Excellent news. Shall I arrange for a panel discussion post screening? And Q and A?

QueenQueenie Thu 17-Jul-14 22:14:36

X posts but perhaps you too could bring a DVD BD?

herbaceous Thu 17-Jul-14 22:45:58

If you could rustle Kirsty Wark, QQ. Some of DS's bon mots are obscured by a particularly vocal baby in the audience next to me (challenging my most rictus grin), but I'll get my people in post-production on to that one.

Rosebag I have been thinking of you this evening thanks

Stropperella Thu 17-Jul-14 22:48:47

Evening all. Sorry to hear school troubles are continuing for ds, Herbs.

Tomorrow is Leavers' Assembly for the Year 4s. Apparently, there is some kind of High School Musical theme - although I'm not supposed to know that and also a skit that has been written by ds. I am already feeling a tiny bit ill just in case his massive showy-offy and hamming-it-up-to-the-max tendencies have been allowed to run riot. You never find out until it's too late to feign illness and leave the room. I always enjoy the dcs' performances (not that dd has ever done more than one or two) much more once they are over.

After school, there will be a BBQ and prosecco-quaffing opportunity for a select few round a friend's gaff and there may be some blubbing mummies.

originalpiratematerial Thu 17-Jul-14 22:50:03

Herbs it won't be any consolation I know, but my theatrical, dancing, camp DS2 was bullied in primary and is flying now at secondary, so hang on in there flowers.

Rudy my very best wishes to you and your DM.

And yyy to stinky teen bedrooms! I thought it was just my DS1 but obviously not!

CointreauVersial Fri 18-Jul-14 01:02:03

I really, really ought to go to bed, but I keep thinking of things which need doing. Earlier I popped round to see my newly-divorced friend's new house, which is quite lovely, although she is the messiest person I know, so it resembles a student squat already. She has just got a new kitten, which has totally rejuvenated her ancient black labrador, so we sat watching them cutely wrestle and snuggle all evening.

The Prodigal Son returns tomorrow.....

Blackduck Fri 18-Jul-14 05:59:50

Epic thunderstorm woke me up/kept me awake... yawn but at least it feels fresher this morning.

bigTillyMint Fri 18-Jul-14 06:42:36

I was also woken by the thunderstorm, but thankfully went back to sleep. Then the alarm went off.

BD, can't see any vids of your DS on FBsad

Blackduck Fri 18-Jul-14 07:02:52

Just a pic BTM at the mo....

Rosebag Fri 18-Jul-14 07:04:18

Thank you for all the kind words. I am unusually calm and ok with it all now. DS's Tour group is well away from the troubles and has been enjoying the desert and a night under the stars along with Bedouin hospitality. Today they are going snorkelling at the coral reef in Eilat. We have a link to regularly updated security information and all the groups are safe and enjoying their trip.
In a sleep befuddled state I woke during the epic thunderstorm and for a moment or two I thought that I was being shelled by terrorists in black masks...

Blackduck Fri 18-Jul-14 07:08:49

CV what colour way did you get if the crepey Biden frock?

Rosebag glad all is okay with ds.

bigTillyMint Fri 18-Jul-14 07:11:29

Yes Rose, glad your DS is OKsmile

BD, can't see any dramatic photos either!

NUFC69 Fri 18-Jul-14 07:11:39

Pleased to hear that all the performances went well: my DC would rather have cut off their arms than do any performing!

So sad to hear that DS's still being bullied, Herbs. He sounds quite delightful (that's probably the problem - he's too nice).

DSis is back at GPs because of infection in her arm after bike fall: they removed a bramble yesterday and she now has a hole in her arm. shock
We're also forecast thunderstorms today but actually the temperature is quite pleasant and it's not humid.

NUFC69 Fri 18-Jul-14 07:14:14

Oh that's good to know, Rose. It does sound great, by the way - DS is lucky to have the opportunity.
