I do my weekly shop online with Ocado because I don't have a car.

I have never been to a Lidl because there isn't one near enough to me, or easy to reach on public transport. And who can carry home their weekly shop on the bus?

As I understand it, there is no online delivery service so shopping at Lidl is unfortunately just not an option for me.

Sainsbury's as it is local, I can walk there and back. Ocado for online as I have a delivery pass, the quality is high , they have also never done a dodgy substitution. If we are heading that way we go to Lidl as it is cheaper. We only use Lidl nappies.

We don't do all of our shop at Lidl because it doesn't stock everything we need it is also too far away.

I use Ocado for convenience, range, reliability and quality.

I sometimes pop in Lidl to pick a few bits up because there's one near the venue of a club one of my children is in, so I use it to kill time. There are a couple of things I buy every time - apple turnovers from the bakery, natural Greek yogurt in individual pots and washing powder.

1. I'm fortunate enough to have 5 supermarkets within 15 mins drive of me. I tend to choose which one I'm going to based on what i need e.g. if i need to get school uniform bits i will go to Sainsburys, if i need a particular hair product I'll go to morrisons as the others don't sell it.
   

1. I do regularly go to Lidl as it is one of the closest to me, it has a great car park, it's good value (i usually spend half there what i would elsewhere). I also like the range of products and the products that change weekly. My store has recently been refurbished and it is a really pleasant place to shop.
   
2. The times i don't go to Lidl are because i need or want something that they don't sell as standard, e.g. clothes, hair dye. If they had everthing i needed i wouldn't shop anywhere else

I shop at Aldi- it is in a convenient location, is excellent value & I can get 99% of what I need.

There is a Lidl relatively nearby but when I've been before I've found it a bit less organised than Aldi & I could only get about 90% of what I wanted.

I do my weekly shop with Ocado. I do this because it is easier for me to get my food shopping delivered as I am a single mum that works 4 days a week. They also have very good quality food and good customer service.

I don't go to Lidl as I do not know where the nearest one is. I also prefer to have my shopping delivered.

1. Lidl. It's near my house and daughter's school. I don't drive, so I often go straight after the morning school run.
   

1. Price is definitely a factor. As is range. I'm able to get everything I need in one shop. It's also a pleasant experience, we've been going since we moved near one 3.5 years ago so a lot of staff are familiar faces and are really nice to my toddler.

I have a delivery from Tesco most weeks, this is because their own brand things like kidney beans are of good quality, dried things like lentils flour etc. are reasonably priced and they have a good selection of vegetarian and gluten free food - I'm veggie and DH is coeliac. Very occasionally I do a shop at Waitrose or Aldi but as neither offer much on the gluten free front I can't use them regularly.
2. if there is a Lidl near me I'm not sure where it is. Aldi is either next door to Tesco or right next door to an office I visit weekly, so they are on my radar more so.
3. Because I've never noticed one near me. I would go to take advantage of good quality veg and tinned stuff but I suspect the range of Quorn and gluten free foods is less than Tesco and Sainsburys. I like Aldi for the occasional visit.

My shopping arrives via Tesco delivery because it takes me 20 minutes once a week and I don't have to take my children.

I've never been in Lidl, there isn't one conveniently located for me. I would only consider it if they delivered.

The main reasons we use Lidl is that we have one close to my home & there's also one on the way home from DH work. They have amazing prices for fresh meat & food, the food tastes fantastic. The food is great quality. They also open until 10pm too! So I normally pop up about 9pm when it's quiet! They also stock Nappies and wipes which are amazing quality too!

I do! It's the only place we shop!

I use my local lidl as the fruit and veg are excellent quality and the wholemeal bread is very nice. My children love the lidl yogurts we buy as they have different flavours. I also find my local lidl very clean and organised. We love the fresh bakery part as a quick and cheap lunch! I am a big fan of lidl and highly recommend it!

1. Usually Tesco because we do online shopping and they offer the best service in my area with reasonable price (asda was not good online, and others are good but more expensive than Tesco)
   

1. I would definitely give lidl a try if they ventured in to the online market, that is all that is stopping me. It would depend on vegetarian selection too though

I do my weekly shop between Tesco, Aldi and Lidl. The reason for this is that none of them are particular nearby and I like the choice of products from all 3. I like the nappies and special buys from Aldi, the baby food, fruit & vegetables and special buys from Lidl. I then fill the gaps with Tesco.

My nearest Lidl is roughly 5 miles away so it's not the easiest just to nip into. I have to make an effort to go there.

1. Tesco - it's very close by so can walk there daily for fresh items. Also, for big shop we use their deliver service. Our deliveries come from a huge depot so very few substitutions and if we order fresh stuff, it's always exceptionally fresh and good quality, better than in store to be honest.

1. Our nearest lidl is not a nice shop. It's in an awkward place, right next to the station, and the last few times I went in, felt like I was buying the absolute dregs from the reduced shelves - poor layout, felt grubby. It is one of the older stores and two be honest, could do with a complete overhaul. We do use Aldi and drive a lot further than the nearest lidl, just because it's a much better shop. We have a brand new lidl opening nearby, in the autumn I think. I will definitely give it a try.

My main shop is split between Lidl and asda mainly because both are close and between the two I can get everything I need.

Price. It's so affordable and the quality I've always found is great.

I do shop at Lidl but there are some things I can't get there so do go to asda for those. Plus although my nearest Lidl is close by car (around 10 minutes) I can't walk there. Asda on the other hand is a five minute walk so much easier to pop in and top up on things we've run out of mid week.

1. We shop online via Sainsburys every week. We have a delivery pass and two young children - no way am I taking them to the shop every week!
   

1. We do go to Lidl for a monthly "stock up" shop - for anything that won't go off or fresh things with a long shelf life. We do this to save money - around £15-£30 a month, so around £250 a year!
   

1. The nearest Lidl is 10 miles away, and whilst the selection has improved we can't buy everything we would buy in Sainsburys there. Plus for some items (e.g. Chorizo) we prefer Sainsburys over Lidl. Likewise, we buy M&S chicken because it's organic and free range and not massively inflated.

I do my main weekly shop in one of the larger supermarkets e.g. Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury's or Morrisons.
I do top up shops in Lidls as it is a 3 min walk from home.
The reason I don't do a full weeks shop in Lidl is because their are some things that Lidl don't stock eg certain brands of youghurts, tassimo pods, wax melts and lots of other things.

I have the choice of 6 supermarkets close by. I choose Lidl for the bulk of my shopping. The parking is easier as I have mobility issues, I love the instore layout. Plain and simple, easy to navigate and find goods.
Lidl is my first choice, I like the range of goods. A very large number of the products are top quality, fresh and tasty. Price plays a big part, exceptional value for money. Some of the products are better than the comparable major brands.

I love Lidl!
do must of my shopping in Lidl, it's close to home, I hate huge supermarkets, lidl is smaller but still stocks a good variety of products. I like the quality of fruit and veg and the prices of the meat. I just wish it was easier to get a parking space! At busy times the carpark queue causes a lot of traffic congestion, despite the lovely retired gurhka parking attendents. My local store has recently reopened after closing for a refit! It was a very long week lol! But I love the new look store! I eat much more healthily when I shop at Lidl as I mainly buy fresh meat and veg, so I cook from scratch. When I shop elsewhere I'm tempted by ready meals and convenience foods.

I like the products especially the 'aisle of wonder' and fruit and veg is good quality, the meat and bakery products are great prices and delicious! I also eat more healthily.

I occasionally go to a large Sainsbury's to buy branded products and convenience foods not stocked at Lidl. Main items being toiletries like toothpastes, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, large fairy soap powder, and ready meals,also not much selection of frozen food especially brands like birds eye, (I like to have a few quick and easy backup meals in the freezer) My family also don't like Lidl cheddar cheese and prefer Sainsbury's medium, mature and extra mature cheddar. My son has a nut allergy, very few of the kids 'treat' cereals and chocolate products are nut free, other family members are coeliac, and you do very little allergen free products. And I really miss the ready to eat smoked trout that you used to do! However Lidl is still my favourite place to shop!

Sainsbury's, Aldi or Ocado. We go to Sainsbury's because it is local and I find the quality better than other mid-range supermarkets. Aldi because they are cheap but fair quality - I often get my basics there and I love their nappies. Ocado for online and specialist ingredients.

Compared with other budget supermarkets like Aldi I don't find Lidl's quality to be as good for the same price. My nearest Lidl is across the road from Aldi.

I shop at Tesco because it has a huge range of products and I know I can get absolutely everything I need. It also has a massive covered car park with loads of parent and child spaces.

There is a Lidl next door but I've never been in it. It's in a really rough area of Salford and I don't like the look of the car park. There is no way it could possibly sell the range of products that the neighbouring Tesco sells so I just don't bother. It's not worth my time/safety/risking my car/getting a baby and toddler in and out of their car seats just to save a few pounds on a handful of products.

My main weekly shop is split between Lidl and Aldi.
I like Lidl because of the price and the quality of products.Also as they are getting better at safe options if you have allergies or coeliac. The staff are also good at my regular store. My toddler is autistic and they are brilliant at helping if I've got my hands full with said toddler.

We go to Lidl for our weekly shop and top up shop. The exception to this is if I'm working and very busy I need a delivery so use Tesco. Lidl doesn't stock pampers nappies which I use so if I need them I go elsewhere.

Recently I've found our Lidl in Morpeth Northumberland to really have poor quality fresh produce, on every visit lately there has been fruit and or veg physically rotten or mouldy within the displays.

That puts me off.

I don't drive, so distance is a big factor. It's brilliant value. I tend to get all my basics from lidl and then go to another shop to get anything I can't get from lidl. I think the fruit and veg is great quality and the range of products is excellent
