Keep bookmarking posts - how do I un-bookmark them?

Over the last few days I've hit the bookmark button at the bottom of posts so many times and it's really annoying because when I click on my regular threads it takes me to my bookmarked post instead of to page one.

Is there any way of removing a bookmark from a post? I tried clicking on the button again but it doesn't do anything.

I'm looking at Mumsnet on the web browser using a phone.

Scroll back and bookmark the opening post!

(Have to say I have no idea why you’d want to do this.)

LeglessGiraffe · 05/07/2019 23:43

I kept doing this too by accident as I was scrolling through. I went into settings and turned off the bookmark option in the end.

I'm not doing it on purpose! I hit the button by accident as I'm scrolling.

Bookmarking the opening post is a good idea, thanks. And Legless I'll have a look in settings and turn it off, thanks.

Just wanted to say I keep accidently doing this as well as the Bookmarking button seems to be just where my finger is positioned for scrolling and I keep meaning to remember to move over a bit!
I was pleased to find your post as I was just coming on to ask exactly the same question - I am just thinking how absolutely pointless SpartacusAutisticus's reply to you was as obviously you aren't doing it on purpose or you wouldn't have bothered posting the question. What a pointless thing to bother coming onto a thread and saying.

Kinsters · 07/07/2019 03:01

Yeah, I still can't figure it out! Bookmarking the first post helps I guess but it's still annoying. No idea how to turn it off in settings.

Plenty of people on MN seem to be a bit thick or maybe just get a weird kick out misinterpreting and making pointless comments so I wasn't surprised that was the first one tbh!
