I can't believe we're on our 4th already . Tiggy, at 12 month you don't need to be concerned at how well Ds can sit. The age limits are more to ensure they are developed enough to wear a helmet.

I have a fantastic trailer that I bought from Germany that folds flat and has the handle on and a front wheel so it can be detached and used as a pushchair. If I can get to it I'll find the brand name for you.

I love this title! It made me laugh! DS has a helmet already for the Taga. A lot of the trailers say from 18 months. I need to be able to strap him in really tight so he stays upright or get a baby snuggler if he fits or put the car seat in. I would appreciate knowing the brand you are thinking of. The prices of trailers vary vastly from about £70 new to £600!! We would have to buy blind online so all help is appreciated.

if you don't want to carry goods in it what about a trike? You can get two child seats on and then a smaller box under the seats for bags?

No, we have the Taga and I have a brand new mountain bike so I need a trailer for my bike, plus like I said on the last thread, OH is going to get an electric bike to do the 4-5 mile nursery run with a trailer on the back whenever possible and it's going to be bitterly cold in winter and early spring. At least DD will be more protected in a trailer. But equally we don't want to buy a £500 trailer!

Doh! I got your needs confused with Friggs nursery run tbh if your not going in heavy traffic a cheaper folding one will be fine. The ones you can remove and push are handy for Sunday bike rides to the pub as you can lock the bikes up and take sleeping children into the garden with you ..... Not that dh and I ever coincided bike rides with nap time

Lol re Sunday bike rides! OH does bike to the shops a fair bit so he might like to push it into a shop like he does the Taga. I just didn't know what I need for baby in terms of support ie maybe a reclining seat or support, and also my two are tall. DD is almost three. Also are the cheap ones wind tight as such...I know they are all just fabric!

I had looked into trailers and decided the expensive chariot ones were best. The ones that folded, converted into buggies and could even have skis attached.
They don't come up on ebay much, and seemed to have great resale value.
I got the weehoo in the end for our needs.
It was chariot or chariot carriers for the brand name and the different models were named things like cougar....

Thanks Monkeys. I know Chariots are good but they are also a nice price I don't mind paying say up to £200...I eed to have a look around. Do they make a bike loads heavier??
I can't work out why there is nothing I fancy in the Tesco sale? I want to try a Zoom but I want a trailer more than just trying a Zoom out. Am I odd for wanting to try a Hauck Citi out??
Just as an aside when looking at a pushchair which is most important, features/suitability or price?

Tiggy, they are nicer the more you pay, but £20 is a good budget. A friend of mine contacted Centreparcs to see if they were selling off any of theirs a couple of years ago and got a Chariot for £50!

I have found my trailer and will try and actually get to it in the shed this week

Suitability....if you find the right thing you can then shop around for the right price.

If you buy the wrong thing because it's the right price you've lost money as soon as you've opened the box

Sorry I don't know of cheap couriers truthsweet. I mostly sell through ebay and buy postage online to send Parcelforce. I save a little money by dropping off at the depot myself.
Tiggy, look for an alloy or aluminium trailer ad the steel ones can be v heavy to pull. Also look at the way it connect to your bike. I found the clamp one unreliable. It had a safety strap thankfully. I think the ones that fasten through the rear wheel with a pin (like charriot carriers) might be better.

Oooh good point Truth, decide where's best to fit to your bikes, then start looking. Some hardtail or dual Mountain bikes might make it awkward with some of the cheaper models

I have started using Parcel Monkey because they are much cheaper and everything is next day delivery..so far..so good with them, but you do need a printer.
Thanks everyone re the trailers. I have been searching all day and am going round in circles...I don't have a clue re connectors but hopefully OH does but he's too busy at the min...ho hum!

Don't worry Frigg, you can ammend anything important

I've bought Truths Surf and I'm all excited! So my one pushchair household will have lasted all of 10 days

But it will fit in the Babboe, in case she falls asleep and it can be lugged round amusement parks and fit in the in laws 7 seater when its full.

No I was the bee+ - thankfully I am too too poor for the Xari, or I'd have one.

i think the only other thing I'd consider now is a BJCM, if it was made with 4 wheels and an adjustable handle bar.

I'm the same...It would need an adjustable handle as it's way too high for me at present.

We went and tried the B-Dual in our Mum's boot today. We took the rear wheels and mudguards off (surprisingly easily!) and it fitted without any problems! There's even room for more stuff on top! I'm still umming and ahhing over whethter to wait and see when Boots do their next code or to just get it now.
