Does anyone have an Ikea Kivik sofa?

Need a new sofa but don't have £££ to spend, only ££. I was going to go with Larwood from Sofasofa, but they have limited colour choice so now am thinking Kivik from Ikea. I love Ikea for bits and bobs, but tend to avoid for furniture and am a bit worried about whether it would stand the test of time. Does anyone have one, and would you recommend?
Thanks.

Hmm, it's a tough one - we had to throw ours out last week after less than 2 1/2 years BUT it was damaged by the damp in our rented house.

The sofa itself probably would have survived a bit longer but I have to say, we had it with the red covers and they faded immensely, we went through two sets of covers in those two years. It was comfy but a little bit low down, and when lounging on it the cushions you sit on had the annoying habit of slipping about quite a bit - you basically had to take all the cushions off and rebuild it at least once a week.

I did love that sofa, though, and with two slightly slobby humans, a puppy (now a grown dog) and two cats it was never going to have an easy life!

I love ours! Comfy. It does slip, which can be irritating, but the price, comfort and individuality of it more than makes up for it. I have dansbo dark grey - like a soft charcoal, and we keep it out of sunlight like any textile. Very customisable.

For reference, I have the chaise lounge and single seat, the chaise lounge slips.

I've had my kiviks for 3 years now, 2 two seaters and 1 three seater and I love em.

Comfy, durable and GREAT for stretching out on for a Sunday afternoon snooze.

We've had the sofa bed for a year and it still looks new. No problem with slippage and it's comfy to relax or sleep on. We have the grey covers, the sofa bed is by the window and there's no sign of fading.

Thanks. I suppose I am first and foremost after comfort as I don't think we've had a comfortable sofa in the whole time we've been together. This will be the first time we've shelled out for a new sofa. Added bonus that we could get it in a week rather than waiting six weeks.
