Carrying on our discussion and hopefully having less of the nausea, morning sickness and sore boobs as the thread progresses!

I'm also the 14th November. Just joining now as I was only getting very faint positive tests. I had my hcg done & it's close to tripling in 2 days so feel a lot more comfortable now. Still early days but finger crossed. I have a wee 17 month old too!

Just marking my place on the new thread 🙂

Chased up my booking in appointment today as I called and went through the phone questions on the 5th but haven't heard anything since.

Worried my early scan will be cancelled with all the Coronavirus stuff going on - I'm 6 + 2 today. Not really any continual sickness, much more fatigue and tender boobs. I might try and talk DH into an early private scan x

Hello again all, hope we're all feeling well today! Smile
I'm on nightshift this week and feeling even more shattered than usual. On a positive though, my GP has finally referred me to the midwives - such a silly procedure for a referral where I live! And I have an early private scan booked in for 4th April when I'll be almost 8 weeks. Can't bloody wait!! X

I need some advise from you lovely ladies please. I am a nanny and look after two girls ages 7 and 1. I love my job and would like to keep working until I physically can. I have been with the family since last January and have a fab relationship with the mother. I'm only 5+4 but today she had a parcel arrive at the house which was rather large and heavy. About 15kg. I would usually bring such parcels inside the house and not make a big deal about it. But this parcel is heavy and I'm concerned about doing any unnecessary lifting or movement, so for now I've left it outside. When she comes home I've no doubt she'll wonder why it's been left in the porch. I've got a bad back from sleeping funny last night so I can't move it anyway.
Anyway sorry for waffling. I just wanted to ask what your advice would be on how early I should tell my boss? It may make my job easier as I won't be expected to do as much. Is 5+4 too early? I'm worried it is too early to say anything but also worried I might strain myself at work. Any thoughts or people in a similar line of work?

@wafflewafflewaffle I will be 'working' from home if the nurseries shut. But that I mean send strategic emails/messages every hour or so to look like I'm working Grin. DS hates it when I use my laptop, he has to be involved. I might rope in my FIL, but he's 70 so there are risks to that too. The powers that be have finally given the instructions that everyone that can work from home should, so I'm covered now.

Hi All, thanks for the new thread! I’m 6 weeks tomorrow, I have an early scan on Friday due to a previous ectopic I’m being seen “extra” by my EPU (although I had scan last week and it’s confirmed to be in the right place this time!).

This is my second (ectopic first) pregnancy and I just find it surreal. Because I can’t see anything happening, I keep questioning if it’s really happening or worrying myself silly about a MMC 🙁

My only symptoms are sore boobs, bit lightheaded sometimes, loss of appetite, and I’m just really tired. Oh I also have strong sense of smell! Occasional waft of feeling a bit nauseous, but nothing much to speak of.

Wish I could stop worrying just a little bit!!!

Hi ladies, can I join?
I'm 6+2 today. Had a MMC in September so feeling pretty apprehensive about it all. Have my booking appointment on 2nd April.

Should I be concerned, with my last pregnancy I had so much CM but this time hardly anything? I thought that was a given during pregnancy?

Thanks

Hi all -

I've been quietly following along in the background - 6 weeks tomorrow for me now. Have a 3 year old boy already and had a MMC at my 12 week scan on Christmas Eve last year - I just wanted to let anyone who is worrying about having symptoms/or not having symptoms I dont think that is a signifier at all of how your pregnancy is progressing at this stage as I had loads of symptoms with my last miscarriage pregnancy so please dont worry if you maybe aren't getting as many as others - we are all different and all pregnancies are different for each of us.

Good luck to all having early scans - I'm working on not worrying about the whole thing every minute of every day and trying to enjoy that for today everything is okay.

The first trimester is an absolute killer for me and time just draaaagggsss.......

@Foreverblowingbubbles18 - I wouldnt worry mine has been different for each of my previous pregnancies so its not really a signifier of anything either way I think.

MMC here to in December so understand where your at absolutely - the daily struggle to not worry about every little thing is real......

Can we talk about sore boobs?? Mine hurt so much. It’s especially bad in the evenings when they also feel really hot - resorted to ice wrapped in a towel last night. When is it normal and when it is not normal? Everything on line says normal but honestly it is soo bad!! Any thoughts or recommendations? Need to get some sports bras but they will need to be delivered...

ParisInTheSpringtime · 16/03/2020 15:05

@Natopp can’t you just say you have a bad back? I don't think at this stage that lifting would cause any issues to be honest.

Report
anon5555 · 16/03/2020 15:28

@natopp it's up to your relationship I guess with the family you work for. If it will stress you out less you could tell them, but I think I would probably blame a bad back if I was you (but totally your decision)
I'm 4+4 and thought about telling my boss as well, but now I'm against it again. I would rather wait until I'm further along, personal choice though 😀
Spoke to a very lovely doctor this morning who prescribed me thrush treatment (got symptoms!) and she said it is totally normal for thrush to be an issue in early pregnancy - if anyone is experience that too. Pharmacies won't sell treatment unless prescribed I think to make sure you've spoken to a doctor for individual advice depending on your situation.
So grateful for this thread already! I feel like I can talk to people when I'm not telling any friends or family at the moment :)

@Ranoutofgoodnames I second the sore boobs!! Mine is mainly on the outside upper bit and it feels lumpy too on both sides 😝

@ParisInTheSpringtime @anon5555 I think I am just worrying over nothing!! Yes have told her I have a bad back and she's fine with moving it herself so that's good. I think all this coronavirus business has sent my normal anxiety/overthinking over normal stuff into overdrive 😔

Report
anon5555 · 16/03/2020 15:47

@Natopp aww that's good news that they were okay. Totally understand - I'm also a very anxious person anyway and i always knew if I was to become pregnant I would be anxious about it. Never thought there will be all this added stress too! But I'm trying to remain calm which is a struggle but trying my best! :)

Hi ladies, joining in the fun!
I'm 5+4 (although I suspect up to a week less than this as I have a long cycle) with baby number 2 as I have a 15 month daughter. This one is a bit of a surprise so still getting my head around it, had our BFP last week.
Stressing about DH having a radioactive tracer scan 2 weeks ago when I was either newly pregnant or about the time of conception but not much we can do about that now!
