Geog gave out the invites to his party at toddlers, he was dead excited but some of his 'mates' were a bit bewildered as to why he was giving them an envelope.
happy birthday to tweenie and moley. What did they get for their birthdays? I need some serious inspiration here.

Grace has said she is NOT going to her party, she is NOT opening her presents and is NOT having a cake and the only person she wants to come is the child who can't come bcause theey are on holiday! She has decreed she is going to the pub with daddy and they will drink beer.

lol!! Cazzybabs ..... ooooh my dd is getting abit like that...abit of an attitude!... She tells me off when we go shopping together and im "NAUGHTY!!!"...eek!

On her bday...i was trying tocomb her hair as her hair is wavy and abit of curls too..she was messing about,i told her to stop but she carried on...so i said "Its not my fault if i hurt you!" (meaning scratch her with the comb) and her reply was "Its not my fault TOO!"

Well dd2 is 3. How did that happen - I feel quite sad...my toddler is no more!

Grace did go to her party and indeed sang happy birthday to me on the way there. we had it a local soft play place. God it was money well spent - so little stress. I think she had a good time but didn't enjot being sung happy birthday to. She also enjoyed opening her pressents - we only had a few friends so not many presents which worked out fine as she wasn't too over-whelmed with them all!

KathH · 07/10/2007 21:50

So she didnt fancy the pub then?

Report
cazzybabs · 07/10/2007 22:04

Oh no - all of "her people" [us, grandparents, and god parent]went to the pub for lunch and Grace did indeed have some of daddy's beer.

Thats ok - didnt want to think we had a lightweight in the Oct 04s! Please nobody ring social services but dh sometimes give moley a quick sip of his lager - moley is very fussy & only likes Stella.Mind you, my Gran used to like to tell the story of when I was about 2 or 3 and I was at my aunty's 21st & I went round dipping my dummy in everyone's drink. Apparently my dad's first words were to his Grandad "Give beer you bugger!" My dad denied this story until his dying day!

Happy birthday all the threeees!!
No birthday here until Halloween.
Alfie thinks marmite is 'ucky', but I want him to like it, so I'm putting a teeny bit on the edge of his toast and will gradually increase it for the next five years, until he can buy it himself.
Where is Prettymum?? When is Shineads birthday?
I was laughing at Grace only inviting children who were out of the country. I'm inviting all the children in Tunisia to Alfie's birthday.
We're not having a party as such, we thought we would have a day out at a theme park with one set of grandparents and then see the other set on the following weekend and see my bruv, who is flying up to give Alfie some car things.
I'm recalling all the independent ladies (like in Destiny's Child's song) refusing help to put on shoes and coats and suchlike. Weeell! This week, Alfie has started to refuse help going down the stairs outside our flat. Not that he needed help, but he would make a fuss sometimes, and demand that I went back up to 'help' him. Now he is very indignant if I try to hold his hand. And I'm not allowed to lift him into the bath. He can climb in himself, but didn't refuse help before, now he's cross if I help.
After all those months of being quite happy to have everything done for him - he's becoming independent. sniff!
They're helpful these little boys and girls aren't they. YOu can send them to fetch things and allsorts, tidy up. I'm going to become very lazy. )))))
Oh and the horrible tantrums have finally arrived. Tantrums of great perversity 'I don't like the garden' then 'I want to go into the garden' - but I thought you didn't like the garden?? Puzzled look. Followed by Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaah and lots of other completely contradictory statements for half an hour. What!?!
What's going on?!?!?
I'm leaving home.
