Thanks for setting this up @hopefully21 so sorry to hear your day 5 results weren’t what you were hoping for 😢 3 out of 4 of my blasts were day 6s, and on day 5 they couldn’t say if they’d make it or not, I’m still hoping for you.

@Birdladybird with an FRER and FMU then maybe it would show if you had early implantation- good luck!

Thanks @hopefully21. Sorry to hear about your blasts. That's a nightmare. I hope they're just a tad slow and come on.
I had day two update on Friday (all 9 split, 1 of them is quite fragmented) but won't get any update until I turned up for transfer on Monday. At first I was a bit bummed not to get an update but it's actually a blessing in disguise as I've been able to shut it out my mind and have a nice weekend without stressing too much with the daily countdown.

@kikisparks no worries. Thanks for sharing that it actually gives me some hope. I don't have long to wait now. I should hear before 12pm. I'm really hoping there are 2 fingers crossed!

@kikisparks I have a clearblue which I will use tomorrow. I’ll be 10dp3dt then. I did an internet cheapie this morning and it was neg, but that was a 25ml thingy one not a 10. Holding onto all hope. Really crampy and sore today, plus feel really sad

I've not been in a great place mentally since our news on Friday. I'm hoping for a miracle tomorrow but I seem to have written this cycle of IVF off. I've been so down. There just doesn't seem to be any progress in changing our protocol.

Will see what tomorrow brings!!

@unknownscot you might get etter news than you think. Things do change betweenday 3 and 5. I do understand how you feel though. I'm hoping for a miracle too. My call will be in an hour or so. I am already planning for my next cycle. Remember there is still hope until the final call so try to distract yourself today.

@unknownscot I feel you. With our first cycle we ended up with nothing on day3 even though I had 10 eggs. It was devastating. We quickly moved onto cycle 2 and I have one on board and one in the freezer. I really think that if it doesn’t work this time or with the frozen I won’t do it again. We can have 2 more rounds funded but the psychological effect is much harder than I anticipated. Plus we have to put our lives on hold, everything is so uncertain and I can’t deal with the disappointment. My DH is older than me and I’m conscious that he is nearly 57 and he is just getting too old to continue. He would continue as long as I wanted, but we have been trying for 4 years and never even a hint of a positive.

@Birdladybird oh I really hope you get a positive tomorrow. I know how you feel. I have been on this journey for over 4 years now and it is so draining mentally. I also hate having my life on hold. But I do have to say that when I had my daughter, it made all of this worthwhile. Even though I often wondered before if I should just give up and get on with my life, when she was born, suddenly the whole IVF process and the hardships that came with it no longer seemed like much (it’s as if something just switched in my brain). Anyway, there is still loads of hope for you on this cycle! With my daughter, I got a BFN on day 10dp3dt and then the blood test came back positive the following day so don’t lose hope until you get to the actual day your period is due!

So miracles of all miracles we have 3 blasts on day 6!! Can't believe it! We had planned to do pgs testing but unfortunately 2 of the blasts can't be tested. Nothing to dowith quality. The cells that need to be biopsied aren't very clear and they are afraid the biopsies could harm the blasts.the 3rd one can be biopsied but we have decided not to test any and just go for it. Do you think we are mad at 41.5 and 50? The risks of downs and other things must be high. Now we have a whole other issue to stress about. For now I'm just thinking of the result today that is 3 blasts!!

2 blasts are 2.3 and 1 is 2.2 . Not to bad i hope.

I obviously don’t think you’re mad as I was 42 when I did my EC, and 43 now with a FET next month. One of mine is a day 6 as well.

That’s great news about your blasts, I bet you’re chuffed! It sounds like you’ve already decided to go ahead, so don’t worry about getting the reassurance of others, if they can’t be biopsies then you can’t PGT them, but that doesn’t mean they would be abnormal. My understanding is that the body naturally selects out aneuploid embryos in a lot of cases (obviously not all cases) and some people also chose not to go down the PGT route, for instance, if they have limited embryos- eg people with very low AMH, because they risk damaging the embryos. When’s the transfer going to be planned for?

Just want to say I’m thinking of everyone going through uncertainty right now and have everything crossed for you guys, I know @unknownscot is awaiting news soon, so sending hugs and thinking of you all
