Well, Kelly , my bathroom doesn't smell, so this won't take long!

Hi Jelley.

I'm up early this morning so I thought I'd say hello all before getting ready for work. I've done a couple of jobs already. Have a good day!

P.S. I even did the washing up last night so the sink is empty, clean and tidy!

Jelley · 17/04/2007 06:55

Good morning everyone

mummy2ashton - I remember you (I used tobe Jasnem, if you haven't been around for a while) I'm sure you've been told, but 2 isn't abnormal for starting to talk. My friends son was referred at 2.6 as he still only had a few words, and by the time he saw the specialist, he no longer needed help. He's 3 now and you'd never know he was a late starter.

I have to go shopping and book a haircut for the dds this morning, and this afternoon I need to knuckle down and clean up...

I've just looked back at yesterday's thread to read the latest posts. Hello and welcome back to mummy2ashton.

Jelley · 17/04/2007 06:57

Morning simply You and tortoise are putting me to shame with your washing up done before bed.

I didn't eat til 10.30 last night (and burnt a pan of peas due to too much mn) so I have that to sort this morning.

Aufish · 17/04/2007 06:59

Morning Jelley and SimplySparkling I thought I was going to be up early enough to start the thread again! Done a few jobs already myself and got alot more to do today. Will get my list together once the kids are in school.

glitterfairy · 17/04/2007 07:23

Morning jelley simplysparkling and aufish.

THis mission isnt that great for me as I washed my bathroom rug last week and do each week and it is not smelly!

ANyway may just clean the whole room today instead and hoover it. My sink needs a good clean as well at some point!

It is a beautiful day here today so I have already done some washing to put out and the lunch boxes and just about to make myself some porridge before the younguns get up.

yaddayah · 17/04/2007 07:51

Morning all (and welcome back mummytoashton my eldest dc had less than 10 words at 2 .. he started talking at 2.6 and hasn't shut up since !!)

glassslipper · 17/04/2007 08:28

morning all,

Not a bad night with DD1 and only 1 sheet to wash

DD2 is another matter. She keeps waking at about 4 for a feed and then every hour and a half after that

welcome back mummytoashton I remember you (i was another type of footwear then but please dont out me if you work it out). Dont worry about D. My DD could only say about 20 words at age 2. Then at 2.2 started to string them together. 2.4 sentences came and now at 3.1 i cant shut her up.

Ref FLYing I have:
cleaned the kitchen, emptied w/m and hung out on line, put another load in,
emptied d/w and reloaded,
fed & dressed both DDs and myself,

have a good day everyone.

ludaloo · 17/04/2007 09:21

TUT!!! My Dh has just left for work (bit late today as he was up late doing his website) I was in the kitchen with the cloth, wiping the wall down, he looked round the door and said "Oooohh I take it today is a FLY day?" To which I replied "Everyday is a FLY day!!!!" "Oh...Really?" he replied [grrrrrrrrrr].....what else does he think I do everyday!! Does the little purple FLY Fairy visit the rest of the week!!??
He soooo doesn't listen to me when I witter on about FLYing

glitterfairy · 17/04/2007 10:12

NineUnlikelyTales · 17/04/2007 10:16

Hi everyone

Today's mission - am I the only one who is freaked out by the idea of mopping the bathroom floor with a towel? What's wrong with a MOP?? What a way to ruin towels. Flylady I am disappointed in your slovenly habits

Not much flying will be done today as I have a meeting to go to, in fact this week I am out every day so we'll see what state the house gets into

Done
Bought cheese
Paid credit card bill
Loaded dishwasher
Fed DS and self
Put out and taken back in the recycling box
Spoken to next door neighbour about council collecting rubbish

To do
Tidy kitchen
Tidy sitting room
Beds
Tidy bathroom

Shouldbe I am so pleased your kitten came home but sorry he's been beaten up. Our cat got beaten up so badly she couldn't walk, but I think it's usually her doing the beating
Glassslipper you have my sympathy with the waking DD - DS is just the same and it's a killer isn't it?
Luda my DH doesn't get flying either, but his eyes were opened during Easter when he was at home, to just how much work I do every day to keep the house barely habitable!

Have a good day,
nut

ludaloo · 17/04/2007 10:28

Our bathroom is carpeted...but if it wasn't then I definately wouldn't clean the floor with a towel!! You are dead right NUT whats wrong with a mop!!....tut tut Kelly!!

Back grass has been cut It's difficult to get the mower through to the front lawn so I may leave that for dh later.
My dh is coming round to the idea of FLY but I don't think he'll ever apprieciate just how much gets done about the house in a day (and watching the kids) It's always interesting on Saturdays when I work to see how little has been done while I've been out.

Well, better get on. See you later x

Wotzsaname · 17/04/2007 10:47

I need to get so much doen I ma going to have to do a list
Work till 1pm
Lunch, washing up
Shopping
Ironing
School run
Clean up green bags left in garden from weekend
Kids clubs
Tea
Homework, reading, spellings

bewilderbeast · 17/04/2007 10:59

good morning all hope everyone is well this morning, and isn't it lovely and sunny! I'm being as positive as possible because DS screamed and wittered from 6pm last night until 4am this morning and I am frazzled.

shouldbe my dp never appreciates how much is done in a day either and always claims that he's done loads when I leave him home alone but he does silly stuff not the things that actually need doing.

done:

bed made
bottles washed and sterilised
bathroom s & s
washing up done
kitchen sufaces cleaned
hob scrubbed to within an inch of its life
washing on x 2
washing on line x2 (ashamed to say that one of those is from yesterday)
rubbish put out and wheelie bin taken to end of street.

to do:
sweep and vac after decorators have left
15 min declutter/room rescue whatever the heck its called
pack ds's too small clothes away (how many times has this been on my list and I still haven't done it)
bake (didn't do it yesterday)
