Well, that's two hours of my life I'll never get back- disappointing films you've seen?

Last night I snuggled down in clean PJs with popcorn and wine to watch the much-hyped "Girl on a Train". I noticed it was on Amazon Prime yesterday morning as was looking forward all day to watching it.

Well, what a completely bloody waste of time that was.

It was absolute horse shit and I genuinely went to bed feeling a bit deflated.

What disappointing films have you seen that you wish you hadn't bothered with?

Hancock- I worked out half way through. Awful film!

tissuesosoft Mon 07-Aug-17 11:59:26

*walked out

RIPD is a running joke with my husband and I.

Honestly, worst film ever made!

Striptease with Demi Moore , the only time I've ever left a cinema early

nancy75 Mon 07-Aug-17 12:01:24

Saw Baby Driver recently at the cinema - pile of shite

ncbacktoblack Mon 07-Aug-17 12:02:10

Just seen Valerian. Hated it. I actually fell asleep.

LuLuuuuuuu Mon 07-Aug-17 12:02:29

The Blackwell Incident (or something)

So bloody SLOW

The other was years ago in the cinema .. Being There.

YEs, Girl on a train is complete SHIT isn't it.

Most films I watch in cinema with 6 year old - Emojis!!!!!!!!! I did tell him beforehand that it would be the worst film in the world but this not deter him.

It may be a while before he gets into Bergman............

nancy75 Mon 07-Aug-17 12:03:18

Also Agee op about Girl on the train, load of crap

MiladyThesaurus Mon 07-Aug-17 12:03:47

DH and I thought the girl on the train was sure too. It was a pretty basic, straightforward (and not very interesting) story that tried to present itself as clever by employing irritating non-linear storytelling. Also, all the characters were horrible so you couldn't even bring yourself to care.

TheEmojiMovieLooksShite Mon 07-Aug-17 12:03:53

tissue I'm disappointed you corrected that- I love the idea of you just busting out some star jumps in the cinema grin

idpreferanegroni Mon 07-Aug-17 12:03:55

RIPD - what is that?

I quite enjoyed Babydriver.

AlpacaPicnic Mon 07-Aug-17 12:06:07

Wild Wild West - such a pile of shite that I fell asleep in the cinema, then fell asleep at home when I tried to watch it again.

The Boat That Rocked, I think that's what it was called anyway. Haven't been to the cinema since!

What Lies Beneath (again, I think that's what it was called) was shit too.

TheEmojiMovieLooksShite Mon 07-Aug-17 12:06:33

Milady Yep, I completely agree. One of my friends was praising it to me because most of the main characters are women. Errrm, yes, stereotypically beautiful, two dimensional women only interested in sex and babies. Progress hmm

DrablittleCrab Mon 07-Aug-17 12:07:57

Ted is the only film dh and I agreed we couldn't be arsed to finish watching.

TreacleFarl Mon 07-Aug-17 12:08:13

The Lobster. I like films that are a little bit off but this was absolute shite. Complete waste of time. I followed it with The Fundamentals of Caring though so that made up for it a bit.

JetBoyJetGirl Mon 07-Aug-17 12:08:56

Time Traveller's Wife.

Worst thing is, I also read the book just to see if I'd missed something.

Utter, utter drivel.

Cherylvole Mon 07-Aug-17 12:09:02

La la land

Sandsnake Mon 07-Aug-17 12:09:25

Batman v Superman. Appalling.

DrDreReturns Mon 07-Aug-17 12:10:41

The Human Centipede

abbsisspartacus Mon 07-Aug-17 12:13:11

Gamer seriously messed up film

Aridane Mon 07-Aug-17 12:13:13

I liked the Human Centipede. (Have also watched Human Centipede 2 blush)/

SistersOfPercy Mon 07-Aug-17 12:13:50

I loved the book of Girl on The Train, never seen the movie. I'll give it a miss then.

'Be Kind Rewind' on a flight to Chicago. Mind numbing. Then again Jack Black annoys the hell out of me.
