May 30 Day Shred - come one, come all

Logging my daily JM fix and getting advice and motivation has been great over the past two months so here is a thread for all those of you who want to do the same again or for the first time. Come on, summer's nearly here and your butt's got Jillian's name on it smile

Other than part of my arms and my shoulders...I'm mostly made of blancmange trapped in a bag - there's less blancmange than there used to be though, so it's good. grin

That's quite a weird image to just drop into conversation, thinking about it, but hey, it's true, lol.

So I think bikinis would just sort of sink in...that's not a good look. blush

I have gone down two trouser sizes for doing shred/ripped though since starting it, not quite as much in jeans, but then I don't need to jump up and down in them.

It has shrunk me, really a lot. I have 36 inch hips for goodness sake, it's just the tummy is definitely blancmange in a bag (brilliant description).

Snap, Anyanknowit! I can't touch my toes though, and I can't do the second set of squat thrusts yet. I can do two full sets of plank jacks following Natalie, though <preens>.

No way would I ever be seen in public in any kind of swimwear. I have to say I'm a bit disappointed that I'm nearly half way through the Shred, I'm working hard and I'm not seeing any changes yet. Possibly my stomach is a lost cause, but I would have hoped the rest of me might start to look less like blancmange in a bag (great image, tabulahrasa).

RI30 L3D6 done. This is not a fun level.

I take the kids swimming every week so am immune to appearing in public in a swimsuit. I had hoped to get away with a bikini on holiday, but perhaps at 47 that's an unrealistic expectation. Damn you Helen Mirren, Liz Hurley, Sharon Stone et al.

I was only so pleased that I could touch my toes as that's the only difference I've noticed

Well I don't know if I'm getting to do it today or not as DD is going to see one direction tonight and one of the girl's going has fallen out with everyone else and stuffed up all the transport arrangements.

The joy of teenagers hmm

If I do enough frantic running round trying to sort it out, does it count as exercise or do I have to take it as a rest day? lol

I might manage to fit it in while she's there screaming at them I suppose.

Oh boy Ri30 L3 D6 done. Btw we should start a June thread so that new people can feel encouraged to get Shredded. I shall create a new thread for us all to migrate to. Flipping heck this level is hard. F knows what awaits me in L4. All those doing Shred and worrying about not seeing results, fear not, if not the first time round, you will definitely see and measure changes the second. I lost a few inches from my not particularly trouble zones after Shred but Ripped is reaching the parts other exercise has not reached. 30-day program's are very good for getting your head into the zone but I think it is best to view it as a starting point. 90 days is a good marker for seeing measuring and feeling a massive change, I reckon.

It's blooming madness enough with the girls that are blooming going, nevermind adding a crowd that size.
