Thanks for new thread kwick!

I'll pm you the details of the clinic

Are we doing introductions again?

I'm 34, single, using Create FC in London

So far I've done 3 IUIs, all BFN

And I'm now about to get my first egg collection on a mild IVF protocol
Currently on my way to clinic to check on follies following a massive c#ck up by the clinic who have lost my donor sperm which means egg collection is being delayed to Tuesday.

Hello I am kwick
Age: 42
Single, so using magic potion
I started to TTC in 2015 - treatment so far = 4 natural IUIs, 1 medicated IUI, 1 stimulated IVF (resulting in a BFP, then a MC at 8 weeks), 1 natural IVF, a Hycosy, a natural IUI, then a medicated IUI (resulting in a BFP, then a MC at 9 weeks). That was 6 weeks ago - yesterday AF finally arrived and I got told no more treatments until BMI (40) is at 35. Treatment recommended donor egg, donor embryo. No more IVF but I can do IUI if I want.
I am with CRGH. But plan to start looking at IVI in Spain.

Argh, I would love to come and meet both of you but I am also not dressed yet, not even in a non-battle outfit! Currently sunbathing on my bed with witchcat and working up to getting myself going!

My intro, I'm 37, just, single, and used London Women's Clinic (London branch) in the second half of last year to do IVF with donor sperm and freeze embryos. Didn't go straight ahead with pregnancy as I desperately want to save enough to retrain for a different job once I've given birth, but thought I'd try and freeze embryos whilst eggs are a bit younger. I went for embryos over eggs because I'm not bothered about meeting someone and hence am not making effort to do so, which makes it quite unlikely I'm going to suddenly acquire a partner who I instantly feel ready to have kids with.

First cycle was successful but also did a second one because I'd really like two and didn't want to spend the next couple of years worrying about not having enough. May be kidding myself on the time left to have two, but let's see.

Actually feel really emotional about the idea of meeting any of you! Can we do that anyway sometime?

Hello, Karen here
37, single, live in Canada.
I've done 4 iuis with magic potion.
First was a year ago, mmc.
Second bfn.
Third early mc, very stressful time, handling chemo drugs for my dog.
Had my fourth in February and currently 7weeks5days with a singleton. Very worried but trying to take it a day at a time. It's the exact same time as last years. In fact my next scan is the same day I found out about my mmc. Tying to hope.

pez I hope they work their asses off and fix this for you.

kwick a sigh of relief af has shown.

I'm free for tomorrow's scan! But if not let's find a time.

Karen I think the only way to look at that timing is that this a fresh start, another chance. So hopeful for you.

So about pickle:
33 over thinker/planner..on mycrogynon so cycle fits with dates (only 4weeks and 5days left of them) then start my first cycle/scan on 2nd may with iui expected around 15th may. So excited

Witch yes meet up would be lovely to have a little group meet, we could have a little picnic in a nice park in London (or somewhere) when nice day
Kwick glad you have gone to support our little pez
I'm only 45 mins from Victoria on fast train (but at mothers today 🙄)

Thanks for starting new thread kwick :)

Not sure if I've missed anything....

Yes last night was good but diet free for 2days so have to get back on the horse tomorrow so I don't ruin my 2 weeks of hard work as 9lb down 😇

Babysitting for my friends in a couple of weeks which they said they'd pay me for (obviously not babysitting rates but prob about £20-all helps- and have done it for 10years for them for free but yay) and I sold my euros to them last night as not going on holiday this year so for £55 from them wahooo!!!

Lovely kwick came to my rescue and definitely deserves a massive award for this 🥇

I'm feeling much better. I had a long meeting with the embryologist and lead consultant. They were obviously very apologetic and said this had never happened before. The consultant is confident my eggs will be fine to wait until Tuesday and he did a very thorough scan where I lost track of the number! Going for more blood tomorrow morning to know exact dose of trigger to do in the evening.
In the meantime, it turned out that one of the other consultants is at a fertility show in Manchester today where the ESB have a stand! So he spoke to them and they assured him they would send a new straw of magic potion on Monday with guaranteed delivery by Tuesday 12noon (I'm still going to email ESB and track this my end!)
Embryologist says they mix the potion 4h after egg collection so all should be fine. If worse comes to worst then they'll freeze the eggs.

It was so lovely to meet you kwick and I agree with pickle that we should definitely book a get together at some point

I don't know what I would have done without all of you. Lots of love to you all from Pez 🐟

I'm 38, single, near Manchester.

3 official IUIs and one where they couldn't get the tube in (but didn't charge me for), all negative.

Started ICSI drugs in early March, egg collection last Friday. Five embryos in the fridge with one to be transferred next weds (eek!).

I definitely approve of the Canada plan.

pez I'm cautiously hopeful for you but agree with your plan of still tracking yourself. I'll have my fingers crossed tightly in the meantime.

Kwick thanks for starting new thread x

My introduction:
Munro, 32, married, living in the Highlands. DH has kleinfelters syndrome (no sperm). We have waited 3 1/2 years and now at top of donor sperm list for IUI
First unmedicated IUI due next week.
Mixture of excitement and apprehension.
However, reading everyone's introductions I am encouraged by how many BFPs came from IUI, even if not all of them translated into babies.
Love this thread! Loving all the ladies who can relate to my feelings x

Ooh you're in the highlands Munro! One day, when I grow up Wink, I'd like to live there. Usually at this time of year I'd be looking forward to a week in the highlands or on one of the West coast islands over the Easter break, but a 36-week bump isn't really compatible with camping in remote places!

A Canada meet! Woohoo! Although I'd be happy to come your way. Love the U.K and have not seen London yet. I lived on Prince Edward Island for 12 years while in uni and will always consider it home. I'm trying to find a job back there and desperately want to move back. So I'd be up for it! Once I get a house we can makes plans. :).
