To think she can’t cut the puppy’s ears!

So I had to name change to post this. My friend was given a dog, a tiny little puppy by her boyfriend who breeds dogs
Today the puppy is going to get its ears cut because her boyfriend thinks it looks better and he will have more chance to breed. She knows it’s illegal but she said he insists. I don’t know who’s going to crop this poor puppy’s ears but I honestly feel sick about this little baby being in pain. I don’t know how I can stop this, because my friend seems passive and because he said it’s happening it just is.

Cal the RSPCA or DOGS TRUST. OR A VET AND REPORT. DO IT NOW.

Where is the dog located as different countries have different rules. Also is it a working dog breed?

I can call and give her information? I’d do anything to make sure it won’t happen. But he breeds dogs for money. The thought of him doing this over and over again. It makes me sick

Ask her if she would have her ears cut off to make her look better?

And if she goes ahead with it, I would be reporting the Incident to the police since it is illegal and I'd be telling her that's what I would be doing.

I'm more concerned that the bf is apparently planning some kind of puppy farm rather than having the poor thing as a pet!

Mutilating it's ears is appalling

We’re in the Uk and it’s not a working dog no. It’s purely for financial reasons they’re doing this

The logic of making it easier to breed from because of cut ears makes no sense to me.

Would only remain friends with her if this is part of being in an abusive relationship and she needs support to see that and leave it.

Otherwise - she’s as culpable as him on the animal cruelty, and I can’t see any reason why you would want to be friends with someone like that 🤷🏻‍♀️

Report it. She sounds like an asshole. Her bf clearly is too, but since she's your friend, I'd be more concerned about her asshole-ishness.

I'd be reporting them to the RSPCA and the police asap. And she would no longer be friends with me and I'd be telling her exactly why. Animal cruelty is abhorrent.

As the dog is in the UK and not a working dog then it is illegal.

Honestly she never had any animals. This is a new boyfriend so it’s all news to me. She’s just told me it’s happening and I’m at a loss. She is so passive in this relationship anything he says goes. I’m not friends with him. I completely agree, I hate the thought of any animal suffering.
