How can anyone have an ounce of respect for Corbyn

The man is a snake. We all know he’s a Brexiteer, so why not just come out and say it? This man has no principles - he’s purely concerned with getting into No 10 and there is no low he won’t sink to in order to get there. He’s spent years heckling from the sidelines, but it’s all smoke and mirrors to detract from the fact that he has nothing of any substance to offer on any area of policy-making, let alone the Brexit shambles. The man is an utter joke.

Surely his days are numbered now, as are TM’s and the all the other Brexiteers who put their careers in front of their principles?

I think the problem is that he's actually a bit hard of thinking and this is what makes him so intractable and therefore such a poor leader. He's wedded to the ideals he learnt in the 60s or 70s and can't adjust at all.

I think his history of supporting issues I support is important (unlike May's history of voting against LQBT rights for example).

I also like that he was one of the few MPs who wasn't abusing their expenses.

I think you can tell more about someone by how they act when they aren't in the limelight.

He supports brexit, but his suggested deal has us keeping free trade and movement if people. I don't feel he's been dishonest, he has clearly said he will act with the mandate given by his party, and he has.

We need a decent opposition, whatever party you support, healthy opposition keeps everyone on their toes. That the Labour party is such a shambles is terrible for the country as a whole. I really have no idea how I would vote if there was an election now, but I will not vote Labour. The misogyny, the anti-semitism, the weird and teenage cult following that Corbyn has, I feel so sad that this is the Labour party now, at a time when more than ever we need them to be in good shape.

Corbyn is a disaster for the labour party. I will never again vote labour whilst he is leader. He has had some very dodgy associations in the past IRA among others. He is not addressing antisemitism in the party. He has been no help whatsoever on either side of the Brexit debacle. He is only interested in getting into power and in no way has the good of the country or the people as his driving force. His politics are way outdated. He tries to be chummy and a friend to the people but every move is to his ends, eg his disgraceful cashing in on Grenfell. He does not have moral principles

No I didn’t join specifically to post about JC. I nc for things like this. Nor do I wish to deflect from the shambles of the Conservatives either, but I think the lack of a coherent, effective opposition has really been the nail in the coffin. JC just shape-shifts with every turn of events. Is he calling for a people’s vote or not? All this talk about the Labour Brexit proposal is bollocks and well he knows it - what makes him think he’ll get that through at this stage? He’s deluded. He’s just stalling; waiting for TM’s govt to implode, when he could have provided a realistic alternative, rather than just sniping from the sidelines.

I'm a lifelong Labour supporter, and I feel the same. Mind you, it was all over from the Tony Blair days for me.

Corbyn doesn't give a shit about women's rights and issues, or about being proper opposition to a Tory party that dumps on working class people regularly with no comebacks.

I wish he would just go, and take his self-serving ministers with him.

Because it's what the media tells them to believe.

There is a problem with antisemitism, but it is a societal problem, it's not party specific. In fact research points to antisemitic views being less common on the left than elsewhere, but that doesn't support the media rhetoric. People are realising this, membership numbers are growing as a result.

And anyone that suggests he has no principles has no idea what they are talking about. Part of the dislike of Corbyn is exactly that, he has principles and he sticks to them.

The only good thing about him is that hopefully people will finally realise that looking like a magic grandad and being popular at Glasto just isn't enough for politicians any more. You actually have to have drive and intelligence and yes, principles. If he had principles he would come out and admit that he is a Brexiter at the beginning. If he really believed that Labour would have wanted to REmain then why didn't he campaign for it. Refusing to share a platform with DC over Remain was just absolutely pathetic. He sows division but has no solutions. I absolutely despise him.
