(asking for a friend obviously) i am she is mid 40's and 3 times now, since December a thick, wiry, curled, coarse black hair has erupted overnight.

There is no way it can have been not visible the night/day before- it's in the same place .

Is there such a thing as a super hair (so I can reassure her) she is very fair skinned and not excessively hairy on arms /face etc. Grin

Red wine makes my eyebrows grow faster. Once found a long curly one on side of my jaw. DD has been instructed to sort me out once the old lady beard and moustache arrive. I take thanks from my chinese friends mother who cultures a sprig from a mole on her chin believing them to be lucky. Be lucky!

Grin Oh no how embarrassing! I reckon they'll have been highly visible and you your friend just missed them.

I have two known stray hairs. One is on my back but once went to about 4" (luckily covered up mostly) and one on my chin. I've never left that fucker to get past a few mils, bristly little bugger.

from nothing to one massive hair? WHAT IS IT AND HOW TO STOP IT..??

My friend told me I must've missed it, I didn't, it was not there, I don't pluck or defuzz because I am not hairy/tashy/fluffy.

This isolated face pube moustache though. (not lol)

I have a long, straight, wiry, white hair that unfurls from a small mole on my jaw. Sometimes in a matter of hours. It sleeps. Then it erupts!

I asked my friend. She said what’s the real problem is when the multiply. I pulled 3 from where there was once one. ..... SHE she pulled 3. She also gets one fucked up eyebrow hair that’s more similar to a head hair.

I think what happens is that they grow stealthily but with minimal pigment then darken when they get to a certain, then go BOO!

welcome to my world, in facial hair terms it's all downhill from here.

It obviously doesn’t sprout in a few hrs but I’ve had a massive bastard on my double chin! Now I get about 7 regular fuckers on chil / neck and I’m 30! I’m going to be a mint bearded lady when I’m older though

Yes. I'm often to be found shining my phone torch onto my jaw line searching for the wee fucker.

I have one like a wire that grows out of a flat mole thing under my chin. At least it used to be one. I've pulled it out so many times the root has splintered and now I have about 8 separate ones. Sometimes I can feel them brewing under the surface. Bastards.

No tweezers known to Boots can shift them. I've had to invest in a Tweezerman one.

I have a white wirey hair that grows horizontally from a small mole on the left side of my face, just by my ear. It suddenly unfurls and appears and looks like a cats whisker.

I have a fine white inch long hair that appears overnight on my cheek a couple of times a year. It's very very odd.

Get it all waxed girls, it lasts longer, and eventually most of the little -fuckers- blighters get less wiry!

Mine is poker straight and on my jaw. First time I saw it I thought it was a cat hair then realised what it was. It has reappeared several times since and I now check every day but it is always over 1 cm when it suddenly appears. I am still in my twenties.

Nonibaloni · 20/02/2018 00:09

Yes, like a cats whiskers! That’s exactly how my friend would describe the mole borne hairs. I am what you would describe as exceptionally moley, now a days they sprout their own whiskey, or more than one. Going to jump on the sweeping brush tomorrow to see how far along the witch transformation is.

My friend is going to jump on the brush, once I’ve told her this, lucky she’s a good sport

I have an actual fucking beard. I'm serious. It started out as one or two stray hairs that randomly appeared at will. Now it's taken over the whole of my lower fucking face. I'm in my 30s. By the time I reach fifty, I'm going to look like a fucking monkey, but with pubes on my face instead.

And it's entirely possible that your random hairs might have been ingrowing bastards that suddenly found their way to the surface, so appear like leggy teenagers out of the blue, when they were just lurking under the surface all along.

Mine often appears at about 1cm on my chin. Very black it is too. It started off on the right side and then decided to migrate to the left. I am often seen rubbing my chin looking like chinny reckon to keep a check on it. Sometimes it takes just days after I've plucked it out to reappear and other times, it'll take months, such as it is now. You watch, I'll wake up in the morning with a monumentally long chin hair!
I always make sure it's definitely not there before a dentist appointment as I did have an embarrassing moment when I found it moments after leaving the surgery.

I think they get stuck in the pore and suddenly get released overnight when they're an inch long.
