to say a 2" long black facial pube can grow overnight from nothing?

(asking for a friend obviously) i am she is mid 40's and 3 times now, since December a thick, wiry, curled, coarse black hair has erupted overnight.

There is no way it can have been not visible the night/day before- it's in the same place .

Is there such a thing as a super hair (so I can reassure her) she is very fair skinned and not excessively hairy on arms /face etc. Grin

I have one like this on my shoulder! - normal downy type hair and then one super huge long bastard hair that grows and grows. Why?!

One on each side of my chin and they are never there until they are over a centimetre long. Weird.

I have one eyelash that grows double the length of all the others. Only since maybe late 30s.

I've been plucking the hair from a mole on my face for years, it hasn't changed it at all. I'm pretty sure the thing about that turning a mole cancerous is an old wives tale.

After this thread and a few glasses of wine, I put on the big light in the bedroom (similar to the lights in autopsy room) and yup, I am now sporting a Ming the merciless tasche. They are fine and lie flat at the sides of my mouth and hurt like buggery to pull out. So now I’m seeking employment as a bearded lady.

This happens with one nipple hair - sometimes I leave it to see how long it will grow Grin if there were 2 others, I could plait them.

As a teen, I found a hair growing just under my boob, which was about 12” long. I now have two chin hairs, which occasionally suddenly stealth grow overnight.

Yes this is a thing. Do not pluck the hair out. Use scissors only to snip short. Somehow sniping impedes the speed of the growth, unfortunately it doesn't stop it.

Oh god yes I get them (notice plural) it honestly looks like I've got a beard growing!

I do get it threaded every couple of weeks (along with the rest of my face) but part of my daily make up routine is plucking excess pubes off my chin Blush

I know it’s time to go and have a good random hair hunt when the lady who threads my eyebrows gently asks, “Do you want anywhere else done today....?”

And don’t get me started in the singe thick black chest hair that makes the occasional appearance. There’s no rhyme nor reason to it’s growth.

One day I’m going to just let it all grow and emerge from the house a month later looking like Cousin It.

4 weeks ago I had a huge fitted in my hallway. It's near my front door. First time I looked at myself in it I nearly died. The sunlight illuminates my moustache /chin hairs / neck hairs (am I alone with neck hair?).
I now spend 5 mins each morning at that mirror with tweezers and wax.

Unfortunately I have this. Actually lots of them since my twentiesShock Used to use cream but became allergic to it. Worst was when I used it the day before doing bridesmsid at my friends wedding. Lots of antisan cream and piriton tablets later I looked ok. Also had laser treatment 14 years ago, it was eye watering expensive but worked for a few years. Can't do that now as it only works on hair with pigment not white ones so I now just wax. There is a cream you can get on prescription which apparently reduces hair growth

I have two/three very thick straight eyelash hairs that grow straight out and jab under my eye when I close them to sleep. They are sharp enough to scratch me and keep me awake when they grow long enough, and I have to pluck them out of my eye-line when they get too long. They won’t respond to mascara/curler, and are so sore to pull out! Anyone else get this??

This has happened to me since my early 20's, sadly. It's jet black, jaggy and sprouts in the same place under my chin seemingly overnight. DH calls it my Bristle.

I did feel a bit better when I found a massively long white eyebrow hair on him a couple of weeks ago though.

I have a nipple pube and also a nose hair that isn’t there and then seems to be weighed down and poke out a cm, usually to be discovered when I’m at work at can’t pluck it Blush
