Why don't you go over and see for yourself?

It's not secret or invitation only.

To answer your question, the words are round the other way. Wink

I found it a bit harder to navigate round as I was used to MN format.
There seems to be less off parenting topic stuff. The local section is better.

Mostly though it's fairly similar to here.

No idea as I've never been there. But people speak of sparkly tickers and some such.

They seem to begin, end and punctuate every post with the word "hun".

And I think gregs sausage rolls is a swear word over there.

And they never say cunt.

It's not so different to MN really.

Report
MycatsaPirate · 30/03/2017 20:23

It's shit.

I got banned for 6 months for telling someone their thinking was incredibly stupid (and it was although I can't remember what it was about now).

You can't swear.

There are eleventy billion posts titled 'am I pregnant?'

Ditto posts about babies

The main board has zero to offer unless it's pregnancy or baby related.

Piercing babies ears is ok to the majority. 'Ur babez, ur rools hun'

It's shit.

MN has very similar threads.

If you mean the baby/pregnancy stuff, it may well have but I can block that topic from appearing.

My dc are 18 and 11. I am way past that stage.

Its very glittery and supportive in a different way, like people dob6t actually offer advice, they just agree with you and tell you mums know best.

Seems to be a younger demographic on the whole. You can't swear and people are easily offended. You get banned for any reason. I offered a very skint young mum some items to help her out, low monetary value, kind of things you'd offer a vague aqaintance as it's not big deal, thread pulled and I got told off.

I really don't understand why you can go over, have a look and decide for yourself?

It's a bit playground slagging off another website.

Ok calm down dear you don't have to impress us with a cunt and a shit in your first post but it bodes well for the future.

Welcome Wink

I just had a quick look to remind myself

Active posts are mainly 'am I pregnant' 'is this a positive line' 'photo of my 5 week bump' and my favourite 'guess the gender from my scan pic'

As far as I can remember there is no option to hide the different topics and you have to trawl through pages of threads to find anything worth reading.

And yes, it's very disablist over there. God forbid someone with a disability uses a p&c place because there are no blue badge bays left - cries of 'you should have made him move hun! You've got a baby hun!' With back up from the txting ur bubz ur roolz brigade.

I much prefer it over here with you lot.

Netmums will be on your side 100% while Mumsnet will tell you to get a fucking grip.

So it depends if you want a pat on the head and left feeling warm and fuzzy vs a more honest style with advice that might actually help.

Well that's been my experience. Sometimes it's nice to get the fuzzies from NM but by and large MN will always win for me.
