Surely no one thinks bump parking is acceptable? Especially now parking is easy as new cars all have rear parking cameras with guides.

I see it all the time in London and I've never witnessed it happening to my high end car, but I'm sure the small bumps are caused by it.

Who's said it's acceptable? I think the only circumstances this is understandable is if you parallel park and then somebody else parks extremely close to you meaning contact is almost inevitable if you're actually to get out. Even then I wouldn't do it.

Incidentally why do we need to know you have an 'high end' car?

I assume it's where you reverse back until you 'bump' the car behind or creep forward until you bump the car infront. Then settle somewhere in the middle.

My understanding is it's a very 'European' way of parking and in some countries everyone does it as the norm.
