What shite films and genres do you love watching? But would cringe if people knew about.

For me it’s crappy supernatural ones, like Van Helsing, The Brothers Grimm and demonic possession films.
Can’t be doing with rom coms or action films.

I love those channel 5 in the afternoon type films...you know, there's usually a killer nanny/surrogate/mistress etc etc

Abracadabra12345 · 29/06/2021 21:01

My guilty secret is the property ones, especially Location

Blurpblorp · 29/06/2021 21:08

Not a genre as such but my guilty pleasure is watching mukbangs on YouTube. Feels utterly wrong but dunno... so watchable Grin

Terrysmyorange · 29/06/2021 21:10

Zombie films. I am quite obsessed with "Black Summer" currently on Netflix Grin

Carycy · 29/06/2021 21:13

Portrait and Landscape artist of the year. So zen! I don’t even paint. Might do when I retire. It seems like a good retirement hobby

Q1w2e3 · 29/06/2021 21:31

I love disaster films. I’ve seen Dante’s Peak and The day after tomorrow dozens of times each. Would never admit this in real life!

InTheCludgie · 29/06/2021 22:01

Love the crappy Christmas Hallmark-type movies. Don't watch them all year round though, just from mid November or so!

Papergirl1968 · 29/06/2021 22:09

I love the Channel Five afternoon movies too. There seems to be a never ending supply, and they're usually variations on woman in peril themes - stalkers, crazy ex partners, etc. Utter drivel but strangely addictive...
I quite like the Hallmark Christmas ones too. Blush

2gd2btrue · 29/06/2021 22:10

Any films with cheesy singing/dancing like pitch perfect. TV shows - bad murder mysteries like midsomer murders Blush

mogtheexcellent · 29/06/2021 22:11

Hallmark Christmas films and detective films. Often seen on ch5 in afternoons.

I even bought the aurora teagarden books (nothing like the films). Blush

MsAwesomeDragon · 29/06/2021 22:14

I like the same as you OP. I love a supernatural TV show, any of them. I think I've watched everything that could possibly be described as paranormal, although I don't really like proper horror things.

I also like cheesy musicals and romcoms Blush I'm not sure which ones are more embarrassing really.

TheWeeDonkey · 29/06/2021 22:14

Anything Agatha Christie. Even if I've seen them a dozen times before and know the plot and whodunit its my comfort TV. I've even watched an Agatha Christie while reading one of her books at the same time! 😳

Kanaloa · 29/06/2021 22:16

I love a rubbish haunted house film - the worse the acting the better. I also secretly
really like kid’s films. I’ll be sad when my kids are too old to watch The Incredibles.

Yubaba · 29/06/2021 22:17

Cheesy Christmas movies, I love them! My kids laugh at me but I don’t care Grin
I love Movies24 when the Christmas season starts.

notangelinajolie · 29/06/2021 22:18

Christmas films. They make me smile.

Sawyersfishbiscuits · 29/06/2021 22:20

Yep same as above, those Hallmark Christmas films...

Single parent + log cabin + snow + widower + cute child + old Santa-esque character...

Gets me every year (from mid September ☺️)

ifoundthebread · 29/06/2021 22:21

I love to watch a completely ridiculous, totally far fetched stupidly rubbish shark film. The latest one I watched was about a shark in a supermarket 😂

InTheCludgie · 29/06/2021 22:24

TheWeeDonkey I love Agatha Christie productions too - her books are my fave comfort reads Smile

ipswichwitch · 29/06/2021 22:24

God I love crappy supernatural and disaster type movies. The crapper the better, like Sharknado. Also love a bit of Murder She Wrote.

HandlebarLadyTash · 29/06/2021 22:25

Hallmark films, I search them out on youtube

RubaiyatOfAnyone · 29/06/2021 22:26

I’m currently on season 14 of Project Runway…

Geordie Shore why aye!

Blush
CheddarGorge · 29/06/2021 22:32

I love hallmark films (runs and hides)

Redcrayons · 29/06/2021 22:33

Cheesy romcoms when you know what’s going to happen just by looking at the poster.
Girl meets boy. They hate each other. But it all works out in the end after they clear up a huge misunderstanding. Bonus points for sassy best friend.

I’d die of shame if my Netflix history was public knowledge.
