Morrisons has set up a dedicated phone line for the elderly & disabled

I received this from a work network - it's a limited amount of items, but will be helpful for those who are still having problems getting food delivered:

Morrisons Customer Services team have set up a dedicated elderly and vulnerable phone line for those customers to place an order over the phone.

They can choose from a Food Box (please see the link) www.morrisons.com/food-boxes/boxes

or place an order from a selection of 45 essential groceries for doorstep delivery. You can add pet food etc to the order. (this is not online at the moment).

The order is then matched to a local store who picks the order and delivers it directly to the customer the following day.

If you have friends or family in need of this help and are unable to shop in store, please ask them to call 0345 611 6111 and select option 4 to order a Food box or 5 to place an order for Doorstep delivery.

The order will take 24 hours to process, and payment will be taken through a contactless card by the delivery driver. No contact with the driver will be made and the machine will be placed on a wall etc for people to put their cards into.

This service is available 8-4pm Mon-Friday excluding bank holidays.

This would be perfect for my in-laws but they refused to have contactless cards in case they got stolen. Not Morrisons fault for that though!

@MrsWombat they could ring the bank and request contactless cards now.

Is there a list of the 45 groceries? Dm could use this system but can't eat much of what is in the standard boxes.

Essentials available on the custom-list include things like pasta, potatoes, chicken, milk, butter, eggs, gravy granules, flour, tea, coffee and diet coke.

There are also ready meals and household goods such as toilet roll, kitchen role and bleach.

It's called morrisons door step delivery and it's being run with deliveroo I believe.

This is all I could really find atm. Hopefully it helps.

Our local co-op has the same on deliveroo and has done fro a few weeks

That’s a different service I think, it’s 45 items and next day not 30 minute delivery.

Have sent her details, but also not clear if it operates in her area.

I just rang the number posted in the OP and spoke to a lovely woman who assured me that anyone of pensionable age or who is vulnerable/shielded/self-isolating is eligible for the next-day delivery (not the Deliveroo).

List of products available as posted by Pandoraslastchance. I don't need it myself but wanted to know if a relative would be eligible.

Can anyone link to a clearer image of the product list, for me to send to dm (eyesight not great) please. How specific can you be in your request ie. type of Bread, full fat milk and so on .
