Liverpool ACC for a conference today. Any other MNetters there?

I'm sure there's a few of you out there, like @AliMonkey.

After the surprise success of this thread, www.mumsnet.com/Talk/AMA/3419589-Im-an-actuary, I'm wondering if the intersection of the set of MNetters and the set of actuaries going to the Life Conference contains more than two people. (The latter set has 1000 members - Liverpool, take cover! Shock )

No-one? Sad

There's a few actuaries on this 16:07 Euston train. One must be a MNetter.

Just us then?! I came up early and it's been a dreary day weather wise but surely the presence of 1000 actuaries can brighten things up?

Suspect not though - I normally volunteer on a Friday and told a fellow volunteer I wouldn't be there this week as off to a conference of actuaries and she said I couldn't possibly be an actuary as I was too outgoing!

Ha! Well I broke the mould and made conversation with another actuary that I didn't know getting off the train. Shock

Having read this, what's bothering me is whether you are an ex-colleague of mine. (I wasn't at the conference - former non-actuarial employee of an actuarial firm.)

DadDadDad · 21/11/2018 23:10

I work for an insurer not an actuarial firm, so I think you're safe, Beach

Glad to hear it. Not sure I could cope with an outgoing actuary.
