Christmas wrapping inspiration

I always do a "theme" for my Christmas presents every year, last year the children's presents were made to look like ballerina's and toy soldiers, and the adults were silver paper with white ribbon and white poinsetta's. This years children's presents are being wrapped to look like ginger bread houses but I need inspiration for my adults. Can you post your past wrapping creations if you have any please

Wrapping is my "happy place" I love it, the kids couldn't give a sh*t what it looked like so it's all for my own pleasure. I do have to add that I do it for my friends children and nieces and nephews where as my own ds just gets normal wrapping paper, I do however wrap his father christmas presents with personalised labels

Omg your labels! How, where did you get them. I am so old fashioned it never occurred to me you could get labels, I spent hours last year trying ti stamp out names with teeny individual letters and the end kept coming off, looked bloody crap.

Wow! A couple of years ago I bought Christmas fabric, & Christmas tea towels for small enough gifts, & did the Japanese style fabric wrapping - I can't remember what it's called. Enjoyed not using paper & the tea towels made a bonus extra gift! Sourced fabric from charity shops. My sister has done lovely things with paper snowflakes.

Wow, acts seriously impressive wrapping! Im just happy if the paper meets in the middle . I don't have suggestions but I bet Pinterest would be a good place to look for inspiration.

Thanks guys, I literally just designed the labels myself in word and printed them off. I'll attach some more pics, it really is just a hobby, and people at work get me to do their wrapping for them as well.

The pics are of an advent calendar that I made for my ds, the single bauble is a name tag that I attached to my adult gifts the year before last, and the baubles are something that I made for all my ds's friends at nursery, they each had their own personalised one with their name in.

I think Christmas is an unusual present occasion in that it's completely normal to have the wrapped presents displayed for a while, even several weeks, whereas birthday presents etc are usually unwrapped almost immediately. In other words, it's worth the investment in wrapping as they are part of your (or someone else's) Christmas decorations for a while.

This is a terrible photo of a present from last year. Towards the end of the wrapping cycle so I had run out of fabric ribbon and was using normal curling ribbon only, and the paper was distressingly shiny rather than matt once I got it out of the wrapper.

Anyway, I'm doing similar this year: crocheted snowflake/reindeer/angel/snowman (variety for my own interest ), bauble or other Christmas tree decoration - I've got mock crystals in raindrop shapes and silver jingle bells, tag, tied on with both thick and thin nylon ribbon (10mm and 3mm I think?) and with judicious use of curling ribbon - cloth ribbon is nicer but doesn't knot as tightly which can be an issue. Curling ribbon is bombproof. I haven't yet decided whether I'll be using coloured paper or normal brown parcel paper. Normal parcel paper is wonderful for wrapping as it's nicely stiff and creases well for sharp corners.

Rule one, though, get it rectangular first!!
