Rooney never even got a sniff of a semi-final let alone a final with England. He was a talented 16-year-old who just went downhill from there. His performances for England towards the latter part of his career were so awful they became memes. He then failed as a manager at multiple clubs. Hardly his place to rip the players or the manager apart. He could have only dreamed of what they achieved with England.
