Bringing out a banner was inappropriate, FIFA should fine them, but they probably won't.

They played a great game, wasn't the greatest idea to switch to playing defensive tactics around 60 minutes.

I saw the banner and thought, here they go again.

I want to admire the skills of Messi, applaud Argentinas never-say-die attitude, marvel at their resilience but my God this Argentina team are some of the most classless bunch of fuckers to play the game.

In 2022, just to name a few:

• the Holland game

• Martinez shithousery with the penalties in the final, even seemingly thrusting his bits into Mbappe's face as he bent down to pick up the ball for a penalty.

• Romero celebrating right in French players face. I mean literally going face to face mocking them.

' The victory bus parade where Martinez mocked Mbappe with a toy doll.

And the squad later singing racist songs about the French team in a tournament where France were not even playing. (The obsession with the French is weird).

In 2026, all those VAR decisions, the Swiss sending off, disallowed goal and then three Argentina players hold up this banner - two of whom play in England.

Thoroughly unlikeable.

I hope Spain crush them but Argentina will probably win 2 1, Spain having 2 goals disallowed because someone farted in Messi's direction.

The Argentina team will probably laugh in the face of the Spanish players and then sing a song about Yamal really being Morrocan and unfit to tie Messi's shoelaces.

I hope Spain pulverizes them. The banner thing was just despicable. They played dirty for the whole of the first half. They’re a thoroughly grim bunch.

I will be supporting Spain on Sunday!! I’m no focused fan of them particularly as I obviously don’t know the team or the players, but I will be urging them on as I want Argentina out, regardless of who sends them on their way 🇪🇸

It's interesting that the Argentinian national team have persisted in this approach for so many years. They should be celebrated worldwide for their exceptional football instead they're remembered for an attitude and personas that stink.

Me neither. Given that his criticism of play in earlier games was that the team needed to keep up the pressure on their opponents and not sit back.
The subs should have been brought on the other way round.

I think Spain will win. They have the best defence. They've only conceded one goal in the whole tournament. Argentina have conceded seven.

I’m over it now. I suppose it’s the whole sixty year thing that grates a bit and the fact there was a chance of a final and maybe even a win, but not meant to be.

Apart from Tuesday and Wednesday, I've enjoyed watching France and England play. That's why I'm looking forward to seeing them both again on Saturday night. My prediction is that it'll be a good match.

BBC is reporting that Argentina face the prospect of disciplinary action from Fifa because of the banner.

Doubt anything will happen until after the tournament.
