Taxed

AmITooOldToDoThis · 05/07/2023 19:16

Of course it’s taxed.

Idratherbepaddleboarding · 05/07/2023 19:20

It’ll be taxed, national insuranced (not sure if that a word 😂) and depending on who your pension you might have to pay pension contributions. Oh and if you have a student loan they’ll take more too. Still it’s better than nowt!

Overthebow · 05/07/2023 19:21

It’ll be taxed and likely pro-ratered if you’re part time.

SignalLow · 05/07/2023 19:22

Yep, pro-rata too.

SideProfile · 05/07/2023 19:22

The pro-rata bit pisses me off - it’s a cost of living payment. Our costs haven’t risen pro-rata!

purplejeanie · 05/07/2023 19:24

We were told it's not pro rata. Maybe depends on department.

menope · 05/07/2023 21:00

MN is turning into Reddit!

Tereseta · 05/07/2023 21:02

Taxed and taken out of our budgets, government not paying any extra and getting tax windfall!
Bet come next budget discussions they say it can be reduced as each department managed to find this money.

Has anyone had confirmation that we will receive this payment even if on maternity leave?

KSAM · 12/07/2023 18:46

Sorry posted on the wrong chat!

AgnesX · 12/07/2023 18:48

Taxed ....it's classed as earnings

You should receive the £1500 if on mat leave providing you were employed for the qualifying period.
