Following another post, I thought it might be a good idea if we all put down our jobs/skills, in case we can help each other out by passing any business to each other!

So far we have:

JANSELL: Publications Designer: newsletters, leaflets, brochures, invitations companies or individuals)

TIGERMOTH: events management and copywriting

MORNINGPAPER (me!): Website design / website consultancy (websites from around £200 per site - billy bargain)

Anyone else?!

DillyDally · 22/11/2004 16:45

Ah yes, but you can sun bathe on the top of hospitals wearing heart shaped bikins (according to carry on nursing). That has got to be worth something.

wilbur · 22/11/2004 16:45

Wilbur - freelance journalist and aspiring screenwriter (although SAHM at the mo)

Wilbur's dh - merchandiser at Monsoon

nailpolish · 22/11/2004 16:45

mummytummy · 22/11/2004 16:48

With all these different trades, we could set up a MN version of the freemasons - you know, secret handshake - get you off that parking ticket, etc!!!

zephyrcat · 22/11/2004 16:55

Oooooh Wilbur, I bet you have some beautiful clothes. Love Monsoon.

alicatsg · 22/11/2004 17:21

does anyone want my job? Am pig sick of it today!

MrsBigD · 22/11/2004 17:22

alicatsg
well that's not a very enticing add for your job

alicatsg · 22/11/2004 17:26

yeah I should have said "Fantastically challenging opportunity open for woman interested in working with a team of interestingly gifted individuals and uniquely talented boss, to fulfil client demands of the highest order." there, sounds much better.

MrsBigD · 22/11/2004 17:27

you forgot.... 'highly accurate crystal ball essential'

alicatsg · 22/11/2004 17:28

oh yes! and "ability to function while others wipe feet on you a must"

not that bad really. just a bad attack of rank stupidity sweeping the PR world today!

Lolasmum · 23/11/2004 10:05

Lolasmum - Market research survey analyst. I love it but wish I got paid more / childcare cost less. Gobbledigook, what you do sounds of interest. All we do here is produce tables / statistical analysis from questionnaires. We've got no researchers as such here, but we sometimes get asked to write reports, so its good to know of freelancers. Are you interested in that sort of work? And, do you ever need people to produce tables for you?

Lolasdad - Merchandiser/buyer for big chain of shops. He hates it. Anybody want to give him a nice job so he stops moaning? He drives me mad with his tales of woe....

Lolasmum · 23/11/2004 10:08

Wilbur, just seen what your dh does. Does he hate his job? My dh is a merchandiser and hates his job so much at the moment (and I think, always has). He is under constant pressure. Are all merchandising positions like that? Dh dreams of changing career but we can't afford too.

Uwila · 23/11/2004 15:54

Sorry, didn't realise I was suppose to include DH.

Mr. Uwila -- operations manager for software company in Birmingham. They make Process Management / Workflow software that I think works on top of filenet product(s).
